| A very nice ep (again^^), but i didn't like the end oO I'm sorry for Allen. Sure, General Cross seems tobe cool of sorts but these girls were just crazy °_° When even cute Lenalee defended the general, I decided this episode was not 5/5 but only 4/5 -.- How dare they make her being this stupid? :o:_:o: Flashback was good, though |

| Allen is probably right. Women are crazy... at least those women in the restaurant are. XD (I'm a girl so I can say this? Ahah :P) I liked the flashbacks, but I didn't really like the concept of eavesdroppers. Would've been nice with just Allen and Lenalee. Besides, why did they wait 'til they got to a cafe? Why not talk about it on the boat? The boat's a nice setting, isn't it? :'D |

| According to the filler list, this was a filler episode...which is kind of strange, because I'd think that it'd be better to introduce Cross and Allen's relationship with canon material. I read that Cross is portrayed worse than he is in the manga, perhaps partially due to this episode? I mean wow, Cross really seems like a good for nothing master who doesn't actually teach his student anything but tells him to just experience to learn :( Poor Allen. I was wondering why all the women in that restaurant seemed to be so attentive to what Allen was saying, who knew they fell in love at first...listen? Listening to the story. Crazy women. |
| Naaah, Allen was sooo cute!!! And we met his best friend xD That's soo sad, that the first akumas he musted to kill were his relatives... Despite that Cross was very strickt,I think he learned Allen many things...Maybe his methods weren't good, but still, Allen knows now, that life is brutal... But also, I'm very sorry for Allen. I can't believe that was a filler xD It was better than some based on manga episodes xD |
| So this was a filler? Good episode, but it only made me dislike his Master more, thankfully women arent like that, because that last scene on the anime was completly retarded, there is nothing good to learnt from that Cross dude, you dont just treat your students like that, seriously.. |

Yes, this episode was filler. And it completely poisoned and derailed Cross' character, compared to the manga. Cross was never that horrible in the manga. But TMS decided to make him a villain in the anime, and had him doing things he didn't do in the manga. Cross was rough with Allen in the manga, but not abusive like this episode -it's mostly comedic slapstick. Hoshino, the author of the manga has stated Cross loves Allen like a son. This episode, and a good few other things from the anime seem to be the bulk of why Cross has gained such a bad reputation. |

Yeah. The first anime had a good bit of filler, and imo it wasn't good, since some of it contradicted canon, as we see with what they did to Cross' character. And some of it, while not bad, didn't go with canon that well. Now if you want, here's a list that tells which episodes are filler. http://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/d-gray-man This is the most accurate list, as all the others I see have this episode listed among the canon episodes, and it's not. |

Thanks for the effort but I never skip filler, I prefer getting the full experience, even if it is a shitty one, I didnt skipped Rurouni Kenshi later fillers, this should be easy in comparison. |
