| Great way to remove the ice from the field using Electro Ball to cause an explosion and crack the ice. As for Ash forgetting Serena well he's been with so many people and that he probably just forgot. Although remembering the camp but not Serena seems like why Ash, still I think if Serena sticks with Ash to motivate him he'll remember eventually. Plus Serena and Ash seem to get along just fine. |

| Serena is sooo cute!!!! PINCH MEEEEE!!! Anyways, this was another amazing episode of pokemon, The difference between XY and Best Wishes is huge, i cannot stress this enough, the music is more or so the same, but used better, the animation has improved leaps and bounds, and there is love! Seriously, what more could you ask for Cough.. may to return.. cough love triangle |

| I wondered in this episode - if they're doing an equivalent of Super Training with Ash's Pokemon, that would mean they have the potential to boost their base stats. Pikachu shouldn't be able to do that by this point 8) Also, I dunno if I said this prior to today, but the ED reminds me of the WataMote anime's ED. |

Misty partially counted cause they did get embaressed sometimes when that was implied. But Seriously will we get a trainer or a coordinator? I am leaning towards coordinator; but I could be wrong. |

I don't think she would become a coordinator, there are no contests in the XY games as far as I know. I really liked contests, but if I want to be honest I'd rather see them come up with something new. |

My problem with it is that it doesn't involve any kind of battling and the only Pokémon it requires is a Rhyhorn. So basically Fennekin (and all her other future Pokémon) would be there only to watch and would be pretty much useless. I'd like to see her starter evolve to its final form like May's Torchic did. |

| But he is the 5th gym leader, I don't think they'd go out of order, unless something like BW2 being released were to happen again. And Ash already decided in this episode to go to the rock type gym next. |

Well hope to see Ash and Serena's romance develop further, but guess there's a limit since this is a kid's show after all and they don't want to spread the wrong message to the kids... Winning a league wouldn't neccessarily mean the end of the anime in my opinion (He won the Battle Frontier which is a much bigger challenge than a Pokémon League). They said that as long as there's Pokémon anime there would be Ash, but winning a league doesn't mean he instantly becomes a "Pokémon Master". They were constantly talking about the Champion's League in DP, so there would be plenty of things to do for him after winning a league, like facing the Elite 4 and the Champion. Meawhile he could fill a mentor role for the new MC who takes on the gen 7 gyms and league. I'd like to see something like this, but it's probably just wishful thinking. I'll be satisfied with at least top 4, and not losing to a complete idiot like Kotetesu/Cameron. Oh, and by the way, one of the Frontier Brains (Salon Maiden Anabel, I think that was her name) liked Ash, but ofc he was too dense to notice... |

| Guess I am the only one who is disappointed with this gym match, this and the previous one, these are unfortunately still better than BW. While it certainly had some tactics in it, albeit a simple one, in the end Ash's Pikachu still won by luck and overpowering his opponent's attack with it's own, and there is no proof that Ash's Pikachu didn't reset after BW. Ash still couldn't quite make the best out of his pokemon's pros. It's not like Ash is a bad trainer, he did make good use of Froakie before. So yea.. And here is another thing I am alone with, I guess I am the only one who really want a rival for Ash. I did some searching and it seems like there won't be a rival for Ash (Gary/Paul/Trip) for the Kalos region. That's pretty disappointing. |

| What a battle.. this is one of the best first gym battle i've ever seen if not outright the best ones.. Like some other said above, they use mainly tactic instead of straight raw power in this battle.. Viola's vivillon also one of tough bug having a great moveset with addition of sleep powder.. well in the end ash ofc have to win to earn his first badge.. As for serena.. well i like where this will going.. ofc ash won't remember (typical ash :/) but at least he still remember the camp so maybe there's still a chance that he'll remember serena in the near future.. Overall a great episode, the best ones so far.. I guess the following episode will still revolve around Serena and ofc i'm looking forward to see it.. 5/5 |

| I had to laugh when Pikachu and Yayakoma went away when Serena started talking to Satoshi. Of course Satoshi wouldn't remember Serena. It would be too easy. Pikachu got its revenge and had to hold things down. So after the battle, Serena was Satoshi and co.'s side like she was already part of the group then when it was time to leave she started walking with them. I'm thinking to myself saying "When did Satoshi agree to let Serena travel with them? WTF? This is weird. Are they not going to show the scene?" Then Satoshi brings up the question to Serena. lol |

| pukachu and fletchling were left ash and serena talk alone lol so love how they insert this kind of romance in pokemon, though it's almost impossible to developing it a lot in kids show... ash won straight with destroying tactic, very much like his DP attitude, though that end of the battle was a bit of luck, but i guess luck has a lot to do with winning battles in the pokemon anime. (ash vs brock in gen 1 "hem") |
