| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I'm not a big fan of revisits to matches I've seen before but I do have to admit the enhanced animation as well as the OST. *puts headphones on* I guess the entire thing is a complication of matches rather character interaction/relationships. Oh well, I'm fine with that since I enjoy the intensity of Initial D. Ofc, I was cheering for Takumi most of the time. Those are some insane turns btw. Dat OST. Damn I wish I can drive like that.. |

| The secont Battle with Kyoichi felt so intense. I forgot he lost due to his fear of right turns even against Takumi too. You could see that |
| Interesting watching the graphics change from season 1 through 3. Nice summary. Great music as always. Just not as exciting as the series. 6/10 (above average) |

| It's a nice recap for the battles, but it could use some more context in between them. The cuts felt very abrupt and the narration was a bit lazy. |
| The studio really had money to waste with these futile recaps. But I must say out of all of the battles, my favorites had be: Takumi v Wataru, Takumi v Shingo, Takumi v Mako/Sayuki, Takumi v Ryosuke, Takeshi v Keisuke are runner-up. Was the Chase between Mogi's ex and Takumi worth mentioning though. I have to say the worst was all of Kyoichi v Takumi bouts. The battle between Kenta and Takumi was forgettable. |

| that was kinda weird. even though the scenes were redrawn the s1 scenes looked like s1 which i liked. only thing you miss by watching this is the ost. the songs used here blend together and are quite forgettable. also found it weird that despite reanimating and redrawing the scenes from the movie they still kept them 16:9 even though everything else was 4:3 meaning there was black bars above and below. they should have either done all races in 4:3 or all in 16:9 |
