| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Looks like we're heading for Baba Yaga's Castle after all. First off, Stein's insanity has gone to it's peak that leads him to ran away from Shibusen & made him really confused. Most interesting part is the secret of the Brew, can't wait to see what's the last demonic tool is. Maka & the gang made some final resolve before Kidd delivered the invasion news. Oh btw, if you think Asura joining Arachne is huge, wait till' you see the last scene =3 |

| Or it could become the next FMA. A remake with it following the manga. Just finished this episode and it was pretty boring. Although they are building up to the big conflict so that's to be expected. For those of you waiting for a sub I have a feeling it's almost done. |

| Amazing episode. I don't give a damn that it's not following the manga, provided they can keep it up for the last 10 episodes. One thing that did bother me, though, was the fact that suddenly no one is going to school. wtf. The kishin breaks free, and the next day everyone is totally cool, but now everyone is too afraid to move? Doesn't make much sense. <3 Stein, though. His creepy laugh at the end was amazing. |
| It has more to do with the fact that Medusa turned herself in and was able to walk free. Remember, only Kid knew why she was released. They also know that Stein is missing, for some unknown reason. |

What could she possibly do that she couldn't have done while she was in the school... And Stein is always doing weird crap. It's no weirder than when Sid went missing and got zombified. |

One thing that did bother me, though, was the fact that suddenly no one is going to school. wtf. The kishin breaks free, and the next day everyone is totally cool, but now everyone is too afraid to move? Doesn't make much sense. The problem is, as it was said in the ep, the fact that madness has strenghtened. God knows how many students are feeling like Stein had and how many of them are afraid of going mad. Some might even want to stay at home to concentrate for few days. Thiese are dark...I mean red times my friends. |

| I dont remember any of this in the manga i thought crono left shibusen with medusa and i dont recall stein going missing either i may be wrong cause it has been a while since i read it but was this episode filler |
| They started deviating from the manga a couple episodes back. This was so they could reach an ending within 51 episodes. |

That shouldn't be enough to make everyone cower underneath their blankets. I mean, one of the goals of every student in Shibusen is to kill a witch to become a death scythe. | Medusa has immunity from Shibusen's attack. Anyone from Shibusen goes after her, teacher or student, and she can demand retribution. She can also pick off the students one by one and Shibusen still wouldn't be able to do anything :-/ Heh...interesting take on Stein's madness |

| I didn't like this one. Chrona and Maka have been and are boring really: Chrona: Waaaaaaaah. Maka: I understand you. Chrona: Kay. But my mom... Maka: I UNDERSTAND YOU. Chrona: Oh. Guess I'm fine then. I'm not sure why people are calling it Chrona x Maka. Are people hoping for a yuri episode? Note on the collective crazies: It's pretty obvious that the machine for spreading the madness is online and working. It could have the power to effect them all enough to make it happen. |

| Well, it was a long time coming for this episode on the Stein front. I don't think those parts were paced well enough for me. It either needed to be a whole episode in and of itself, or gone a bit faster. I agree with naikou on the absence issue. It's almost like they are getting rid of everyone because they just didn't know how else to get them out of the way. I'm getting really tired of Chrona at this point. I just don't see how anything she(he?) will do that helps the show on either side (Medusa or Shibusen). At this point she feels like a weird pot hole in the progression of the story. Every time something juicy happens, we have some weird pace-breaking episode with Chrona. Oh well, overall, I still like the way this show is shaping up to be. More BJ, Kid, Stein and character development I say! |

| As a Stein fangirl (shamelessly, I'll admit it) I was pleased. I mean, he is cute in kid form (unlike Medusa :I) and it was nice to see his story go somewhere. Have to wonder what Medusa wants, last time they met he nearly killed her and she came onto him and whatnot...hmm, what's she want now? The bit of Kid that was in this episode, very srs business. Usually when he's only in an episode for a little it's a bit of crack (i.e.: last episode with the statues) but this time he just seemed pissed...and ohh boy do I have to wonder what's going to happen next. Also, no one else is in school because...they're not main characters. Heh. 10 more episodes, the show is reaching it's climatic stuff soon, they aren't going to bother as much with side characters it seems, so easily enough they just cancel school because of the madness and it gives an excuse for the kids to be out and about. |

| Nothing much was going on... alot of stein's mental torture and thats basically it. They should have sped up abit and not drag so long with stein. |

| It says "Courage" and is actually Farsi. It went by so fast that the sub of it looked awkward and it's not that important to the plot. Just Maka's mom telling her to have courage in the upcoming days. Could be inferred just by the fact she got a postcard when she did. ^^ |

In Japanese pronouns aren't indefinitely female or male, so while Chrona refers to himself as a boy with the 'boku' pronoun it doesn't mean he IS a boy. In English all pronouns 'she' and 'he' are gender specific, so it is hard for subbers of the series since they're forced to assume one way or another. But still, I'd rather they said 'he' or 'she' than 'it.' :/ |
| Yes, we sub Chrona as a female. This is mainly because of me. I read a manga that did such and then proceeded to watch Rumbel who also subbed Chrona as a female. We thought about doing the whole "it" thing for about 30sec before shunning the idea. No person should ever be called "it" like they're a dog or something. |
