Chicago's my favorite team but it's looking kinda iffy right now they need to get hungry.. My bet is the winner of LA/San Jose wins the cup.. Hopefully LA cause they're my second favorite team but San Jose is looking strong... On the East side I'd say Boston has the best chance.

Repeating is illegal, therefore LA is banned from winning the cup. Too much hax.

Lol you're right it hasn't been done in a coon's age.

Don't doubt the Red Wings! They're on the verge of upsetting the 1 seed after upsetting the 2 seed. LA won as the 8th seed last year. Wouldn't be a surprise to see a 7th seed win it all!

Definitely.

And that's the thing I like about the NHL....once the playoffs begin, literally ANY team can win.

Personally, I'm not rooting for any team in particular, but there are a few teams I really don't like such as the Bruins and Rangers.

I wouldn't mind if the Red Wings win it all....they're a great franchise, one of the best actually.

Looking back at the Kings run last season, how in the heck did they manage to win it all last year? The thing that stands out to me is that, while having to go through the 1-, 2-, and 3-seed in the West, as well as the Devils in the Final, they managed to lead each of the four series 3-0. Like, they didn't just beat the competition. They KILLED them... all as an 8th seed haha

Fast forward to today. I'm enjoying these playoffs, especially because all the teams I like (PIT, BOS, LA, DET) all have a chance to close their series out and advance to the conference finals. Lots of good stories too for those teams.

BOS looking to capitalize on that epic comeback against the Leafs.
The proud DET franchise, making some noise as a 7-seed.
LA with a chance to repeat.
PIT and its "win or bust" run at the Cup.

Hoping the Pens do the justice. Last thing we need is Boston getting another ring for their city. They don't have to have them all.

Sharks fan here. Things are looking grim and all the Canadian teams are out. If the Sharks do fall I guess I'll hop on the Detroit bandwagon because I like Tootoo. I'd love to see a Sharks - Redwings conference final. All the series they've been in have been great.

This round is very exciting on the West side, not so much on the East side... Whoever wins out of LA vs SJ and CHI vs DET they have nothing to be ashamed of.

I'd like to see cities other than Boston and Los Angeles to do well. It seems every year those two cities get the most exposure every year in sports.

I'm just a little sore that the Nucks, Sharks, Rangers, or Leafs didn't go far. Those were the teams I would have been fine with.

Don't reminf me of the Leafs. And I love the underdog. Really wanted the Senators to beat Pit. But eh.

I'd love it if the Kings were back to back champs, but the Hawks are so hot. Since Richards is out, the Kings lost some leverage. I hope they pull a series like the St. Louis one, but with an elite team like Chicago its 50/50.

yeah why would the #1 scoring team this postseason be a good matchup against the best goaaltender? thats a tough one, not to mention the fact that it would be the hardest hitting series, both teams bang and grind for wins and LA would be going for back 2 back wins... nothing exciting about that huh

Also, I could care less about stellar goaltending (Though Quick is inhuman.). I want a series like that PHI/PIt series with goals everywhere.

Wow didn't know this thread existed...anyways refs missed the hook on malkin leads to the OT goal. Honestly, the penguins should have won that game with the way they played the game but bounces didn't go their way. I will be surprised if there isn't a major shakeup in pittsburgh during the offseasons...fleury buyout/Bylsma firing/etc.

Same. I'm assuming you're a Leafs fan, was hoping they'd bring the magic back to Toronto even longer. They totally deserve it. Boston's a baseball town at heart and it's annoying to see their city win everything all of the time.
