| Its been a while since the Higurashi series has really kicked off, with the first two seasons evoking a thrill and suspension that defined its ability to grasp the audience and make us understand the story through multiple arcs. Granted that "Kira" was terrible, but apart from that, the series has generally been sublime. Now that Higurashi no Naku koro ni Kaku has been announced though, any expectations? For me its frankly just praying they dont do another fanservice season again and go back to basics, helping us relive the feelings we perceived as the anime with its brutally efficient soundtrack manipulating our emotional complexes. |

And I didn't read any of the source material so I don't know what to expect, I'm also hoping it's nothing like the ovas. |

Yeah, it was still a fairly short arc though which could've been fleshed out more, but thats just me. |
