This arc looks like a filler arc with that festival theme, however I think Davy Back Fight is a bit more serious than that. btw, new OP and ED is great! |

| Ooooh, this arc just delves right into it! So this arc is basically like the equivalent of a tournament arc in other shounen series- Heaven's Arena in HxH, Magic games in Fairy Tail, the Otsu arc in Gintama (lol I couldn't resist) and the Davy Back in One Piece! Basically high stakes pirate gambling, I guess....seems like a fitting thing for pirate crews to do tbh. This feels like it's gonna be a whole lotta fun tbh, tho I get the feeling that things are much less comedic and perhaps more serious than they seen rn. |

| Davy Jones? Waluigi? |
| The Foxy pirates remind me of Pilaf and his team from Dragon Ball. They seem like a trio of comic relief villains and nothing more than that. Funny enough, the comic relief Buggy who is voiced by the same person as pilaf is less of one than this guy. Porche reminds me a little too much of my husbando kaiji… This is fun! I’m enjoying it. The game sprung out of nowhere to get right into a new arc nearly as quickly as the Navarone arc started, but going head first into a dangerous situation without thinking is what Luffy does, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was wondering if they would steal the much foreshadowed shipwright, and I suppose they could still, but the guy who called himself the former shipwright made me think this was unlikely due to how absolutely boring he was. Maybe there’s another. I feel like Nami wears way tinier more fan servicey clothing now. Robin has always worn attractive clothing, but for Nami it’s gotten more so. Ever since she wore a swimsuit all of Skypiea I’ve felt this way. It’s not like it’s a bad thing, however it’s certainly a newer thing. In fact part of Robins character is her allure and it’s definitely not out of character for Nami to wear clothing like she does, it’s in character if anything, she’s always tried to mimic Bellemere’s allure after all, and she’s always liked her feminine side and tried to present herself as if she was feminine even if she’s more of a tomboy in personality. I think 3 games is better than one. The Straw Hats have proven themselves to be some of the most competent people in the anime. They have a far higher chance of winning ⅔. Anyone could make a mistake and slip up losing one game. That said, if each game involves taking a crew member then I can see why they only wanted to risk one. I’m not entirely sure on how this is going to go. |
| Shelly waited a whole decade for her no good owner to ride her and those obnoxious pirates had the nerve to shoot at her. For shame! I wonder what a Davy Fight would be like. If it involves picking up the coins they tossed into the ocean, it's probably fair to say that Luffy will have to bid farewell to three of his crew members. I don't see anyone who has Straw Hat potential among the Foxy Pirates so I doubt that they'd be winning anything aside from their old crew back. |

| I know that Funimation had dub this arc already but wished they hired Jim Cummings to do voice some the characters One Piece and would have been a perfect for the role of Foxy.
