| Nice character development by Kido, finally not wanting to tell anymore lies. I knew this was gonna be a hard pill to swallow, in ANY romantic manga where an established relationship didn't already exist as a pre-determined out come (and I say this as someone who likes Emiru). Madoka would've been my choice every time. It actually really blows the author felt the need to invent her for the extra drama, only to hurt her in the end. |

| Another good chapter in which Kido confirms his feelings for Emiru. The new way he views his relationship with her is simply amazing. All the pain, sorrow, etc., he went through helped him to develop as a character. Every action of Emiru was done to make Kido stronger and better at understanding other people's feelings. "Emiru, you changed me... from my stupid and simple-minded self into one that understands other people's feelings...." - truly, for me, this marks Kido's development. Indeed, at the beginning of the manga, he is a very simple and not understanding young man. Tracking his progress as a person brings me joy. This volume serves as a check on what the main characters have learned. "What I was peeping at was - a true coward who continued to run away for no reason... a sly, spineless, pathetic... and stupid guy beyond help... IT WAS ME...!!!" - great self-discovery; honestly, I can relate to that. I've come to this conclusion many times, and I am curious to see what Kido will do about it. |
