Evene without ever having seen NHK shogi tournaments I feel this was a pretty good parody. Dat laser indeed. Could have been a bit shorter, but I guess feeling too long is also aprt of parodying shogi ^^.
I probably regret this post by now.

It was a nice parody, all the soft voices fit really well. I thought the laser scenes were pretty funny. I also liked the wrestler using the zombie move where he knocked out a guy and used his hand to move the piece. I think the cat and the wrestler might have been funnier to watch.

In the last few minutes of Episode 3 of "Tesagure! Bukatsumono" (late 2013),
they played a very unconventional game of Shōgi (将棋) on a giant-sized board
on the high school gym floor.

Other than that, I haven't seen this game come up in anime.

I was bored. I don't know much about Shogi, so I can't appreciate the parody of it.

meh

Was educational if only I can understand what is the game all about a lot better.

Boring at the start, but the laser part was funny that I give it a 6/10.

At first I was like "Why am I watching this?" Then the laser part was funny and I liked the kitty. I always like it when there are cats!

I'm watching Venus Project: Climax right now and the coach in the show play it. That's pretty much the only other one I can think of though lol.

Thought it'd be a bit of a drag when I saw the runtime, but it was over before I knew it.

This was pretty good; I think the pacing was just good enough to help carry it and keep your attention, especially given what its satirizing. I think it could have been a bit more dynamic as far as character expressions and movement goes, because who is playing is irrelevant until the laser moment (which works initially but becomes a bit dull). I think this might be my favorite Jun short.

The ones hating this anime are MOSTLY SJWs, yaoifags and Narutards. LUCKILY I'M NOT ONE OF THOSE DAMN SJWS, YAOIFAGS AND NARUTARDS bashing the show for being "too edgy" and "too un-PC".

That was a funny mind blowing match, that robot really hates to lose.

When he slapped him with a fan I died!!

6/10.

Quite average. It felt almost as if nothing happened and it progressed quite slowly.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
