Seriously why are you guys getting so worked up about this? If you don't want to own one fine. I enjoyed the original iPhone and from that I moved up to the newest model the iPhone 4S. Their products are aesthetically appealing and I enjoy the flow that I get from buying music or movies (when I actually buy a song that I like) and it instantly moving to my iPhone. Anyways, the point I'm making is that if you don't want to own one then don't, just don't go around and acting like a bunch of pricks about it.

I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen, and a Classic iPod 5th gen, and I love them. But the new versions getting minor upgrades is true. I still don't understand the appeal of the Macbook, I will stick with a good old fashioned PC until I have to switch.

I see people in design industry & creative groups interested in Apple stuff more.
Their design/image served the purpose well
Survey & marketing too, advertise to popularize some existing ideas → make them feel like new, create a mob to buy and then people will follow
Not all people are that geeky, they won't be interested in spending too much time to compare.
And many are just using them as accessories, so why not buy one they like? After all they can afford it.

Thanks for the info. I looked at other stuff such as Android phones and I decided to stick with the iPhone because I preferred the iPhone's menu navigation to the Android's.

Actuallly they are just very good at marketing strategy. There is this book called Predictable Irrational that i planned to read but i read part of it and it basically said you can manipulate people to buy things by making more variety of options and raising the price way high on one product so they buy the cheaper one. Its just a basic flaw in human psychology.

It's funny how apple products are perceived as this wonderful piece of technology, yet it cannot take a fall off the table.

I also hate the commercials that assume everyone has an apple product. On the other hand, I just love it how you can go to an apple retail and just snitch off their internet. Which is what I am currently doing. Hehe.

I don't know what the hell you guys do with your phones/mp3 players/what ever, but both of my old nano's and my iphone have taken multiple fairly big falls and only one of them has as much as a scratch.

Is it falling off of the kitchen table into oncoming traffic or what?

You guys crazy. Me gusta my itouch.
Play my games like Chrono Trigger or FF tactics on it.. Got a GBA emulator, watch porn when no ones looking, and listen to my music everywhere with it. I'm not like other people though who constantly buy the latest models. Bought my first itouch over 2 years ago and this thing is still working as great as the day I got it. Probably will have this thing for another year or longer before I have to get it replaced.

I'm currently doing a media course and I think that macs are making easy options has in photoshop more difficult.
Everybody says that they are better than pcs for designing stuff, but I don't think so.

For example, if you want to add and blend mode in Photoshop you can't scrobble with the mouse wheel or arrows down and look into all the blend modes, you actually have to see one by one that makes the work more difficult and takes lot of time to see options like that ones. It doesn't happens just with Photoshop but with Flash, Illustrator, etc.

The zoom in Mac Photoshop is horrible really.

The only thing that I noticed, is that the colours are quite better than in a windows, everytime that I work on college and then I open the same project at home, the colours on windows are not so brigth, making the project pretty ugly on windows.

Has I said before I don't like Macs or any other apple product

Technically, macs got an edge in MUSIC editing, since "Logic" is know as the best tool and is mac exclusive.
But for everything else? Stay pc.

never used magic. I can't confirm.

For audio just used Reaper, Soundbooth and Audition.

But for example I took 3 hours to do something very simple on a Mac Flash xP, in a pc I would completed it in 1 hour maximum

Well I wouldn't consider myself (or many collegues and friends) either stupid or sheep-like and I own Apple products all of which function perfectly well. The kind of action that I feel does deserve such labeling would be using forums like this to air negative criticisms that are absolutely pointless in that they prove nothing except perhaps that the perpetrator needs to somehow assuage their inadequacies by finding other (dare I say) sheep keen to bleet along to their jaded rants. People with careers ranging from astrophysics to zoology own Macs and i-phones. Try positive criticism, say something worthwhile, otherwise your just winging. You know, don't crap on about something being screwed-up without offering an alternative. What's the point?!?

Comparing Macs with P C's is like well comparing Apples with Oranges ^_^

With the 4s if you need all that tec and can afford it, it's fun!

Might wanna add that there are practically no programs which are better on a Mac except for Final Cut, a Mac exclusive. Even programs like photoshop that used to run faster in a Mac nowadays work much better on a PC with the same hardware.

All I know it's that I can get the same quality anywhere else with 60% less price. I suppose I could paint the logo of Apple on my Compaq nx6110 and get about 200 euro more over the 20 euro price it has o.o.

Well Jobs said it is a shame to hide the iPad 2's sleek design and therefore made the smart cover, so my friend assumed that it was all they needed for protection. In the end, he dropped it off a coffee table which about less than a metre and there were cracks running down the screen.

They are marketing gods, using so many awesome buzzwords like "retina display" (albeit that new macbook's resolution is pretty impressive) and "thunderbolt" to grab everybody's attention. i respect them in a way, since the majority of the peeps in my classes own macbooks. Pretty solid performance by Apple, Bravo!

Yeah, it's only impressive if you think big numbers means better. No movie/show is shot in that high of a resolution, it's too weak to play games in that high of a resolution (and it's not even standard widescreen aspect so enjoy your letterbox), and most people won't even be able to see a difference on that small of a screen anyway.

Apple's marketing technique is to flaunt fancy sounding but ultimately useless features, at a price much higher than they're worth. Genius marketing, not so much their products (from a practical standpoint).

To be a "master race", you have to be better than anybody else. Which you aren't. That's why there's the PC Master Race, because it's better than anything else.
