| Having just watched the 12th episode, I'm really starting to wonder if this will really be the last season of Natsume. I haven't read the manga so I can't say for certain if there's still material for a fifth season but it feels as though they could end the show off right now. Thoughts or predictions? It would be a shame if the series ended here. |

| Natsume is awesome, so of course I think it should go on. Plus I can't help but feel that they can't end it until the Book of Friends is empty, and I don't see that happening in the span of one episode. |
| I really wouldn't be surprised if they have another season at some point but I think there will be a good gap between the 4th and 5th season just like there was between the 2nd and 3rd in order to let the manga pull ahead a bit. Each season has covered an average of about 12 chapters and episode 12 of this season is chapter 45. So they last episode will put us at chapter 46. That leaves 8 chapters (to my knowlage) that have not been covered in the anime. That simply isn't enough for another season right now. The earliest i could see another season is winter but i would expect that they will have wait till they have enough to do 2 season in quick succession like they have in the past |

| Ah didn't know they weren't going in order. Then yeah there isn't nearly enough material for another season at this point. I'd say there wouldn't be another season then for probably 2-3 years like between season 2 and 3 since chapters are only released every other month |

| Now after watching the last episode of this season and reading "The End" we now know that it will be a while, maybe years, before we might see more Natsume. Although this last episode has a ring of finality to it there is still parts of the story that have been left unfinished, like how Reiko died, how Nyanko-sensei met Reiko, and the Matoba clan, isn't the head interested in using Natsume some how? There are a lot more questions to be answered like will Nishimura ever ask Taki out? I could go on and on. Just by following the timeline of the anime we can see that each season is about half a school year and Natsume is only in his second year of high school, I'm thinking they're going to finish the anime with Natsume finishing high school so that means a least two more seasons. So to answer the question will there be a fifth season, the answer is most likely and we can expect a sixth season as well. However don't except them any time soon there isn't enough manga material yet. |

| I really hope, and believe, there will be another season. Most anime couldn't pull off this many seasons, usually they end up dragging the end and it just gets worse and worse. But with Natsume, I feel like the anime is climbing upwards, getting better and better with every season. |

| The thing I noticed haveing (mostly) finished reading the arc the manga is currently on, they could have a great movie if they JUST used that arc. Think they might just do a movie or two then wait for the manga to end? |

| I really hope that when the manga has enough material they'll start a 5th season, I don't wait it to stop it here... I just love Natsume Yuujinchou so much I don't know how to fill up the emptyness when they won't make another season... :( So I really hope that perhaps next year we'll get the news we're all waiting for ~ |

I don't know how popular it is in Japan but I think it deserves as long as it takes to fully animate this beautiful story. Here, instead, we have 5 seasons of Natsume, and the quality is constant and growing. That's really something. So true... I can't believe I finished watching all the seasons of Natsume Yuujinchou, it just felt really quick to me. The music, art, plot and emotions were cleverly presented in such high quality, it's simply astounding... Season five is a must! :) |

| I have never seen an anime having 5 seasons + the ¨4th season's last episodes were ordered differently than in the manga so that the ending was clear - Natsume's return to his house. This was a great series but I don't think there will be a continuation. |
