Hey, I responded to your post on the Akatsuki no Yona thread. While I do not take a liking to Su-won due to his lack of empathy and deceitfulness, I do admit he has made some accomplishments. It's just that his disregard for others like the lives of ordinary people of Xing who he was ready to attack. Sure, perhaps they were the ones who were already mad at Kouka, but that was because of what Kouka did to their people under Yu-hon ironically. I feel that he needs to acknowledge such wrongdoings and redeem himself for what in the end amounts to murder of King Il, an attempt on Yona, and trying to lay the blame on others like Hak. Just because he's doing things that are right do not excuse the things he did wrong that hurt other people. Otherwise, I can see your perspective. Also, btw, your profile picture is awesome! I love Song of the Long March. Unfortunately, it's on a really long hiatus.

I'm in the same boat. I would love to see what Su-won will do. It would be entertaining if Yona finally has redeeming skills to be successful, excluding her glaring ability, or that she has worshipers.

I hope that Hak and Yona's romance arc won't take long, before we see Su-won again.... I've started reading out of habit lol

I have to say, it's nice to see you posting in the Yona of the Dawn discussion threads. When people say absurd things associated with Su-won, it's always nice to see you reply, without resorting to petty language. ^^ May I ask why you continue to read the story, or what you look forward to?

It's great to know that you are considering on reading King's Maker! :D Let me know if you do try it! ~ There are certainly many differences compared to Yona of the Dawn, so it’s a fresh experience. :) It is so fulfilling to see someone who sincerely desires the throne, not for reasons like money or power, but for the sake of the people, who unfortunately suffer from a heartless king. ;_____; You see this character learn, and the screenshots I attached all described him beautifully. <3 I found myself getting angry at the king, and I seriously want him to die. >< I honestly think that if Yona of the Dawn was told in Su-won's perspective, many more readers would have sympathy for him and understand why he needs to remain as Kouka's king! It's just stupid to advocate for Yona to become queen just because she's the main character. ;/

Hey, I hope you remember me. We saw each other frequently in the Yona of the Dawn discussion threads. Have you read King's Maker (story by Haga and art by Kang Jiyoung)? The words from chapter 14 reminded me of what you said, when you explained why Yona cannot become Kouka's queen: I had the impression that you like Su-won as Kouka's ruler. To me, King's Maker is like the Su-won version of Yona of the Dawn. Why? We see the country's condition under the rule of a bastard king. We understand why the main character wants to rebel and see what he lives through, as well as what he does to strive for his goal. If Yona had at least an ounce of desire to learn about the requirements to be a ruler, we wouldn't have suffered.

I will warn you though, that this story has depictions of violence and "suggestions of pederasty." There is nothing graphic; readers know what is happening, and the characters wholeheartedly disapprove of the behaviour, which contributes to the overall hate and desire for change.

Let me know if you decide to read King's Maker :)
