| Oh the anti-climax of that audio cassette >.< I wonder why he didn't simple take the recorder with him to the hiding place like any sane person would in a hurry. I mean lift book size object and dash vs turning it off, open hatch, fiddle out cassette and THEN hide -.-'' Although I guess that whole argument is null and void since Naoya didn't do any of those steps, which is rather amazing and not at all like the old cassette players I remember. And even with this seemingly quick user friendly access he still managed to screw up the tape which should be considered a feat in itself^^ But the damage can quickly be repaired with a ballpoint pen and some scotch tape, items that should be readily available at school. Hell most likely even in the room they currently are in. Which means technically they could and "should" have it repaired within minutes and let us listen to the damned thing for the opening in the next episode xD |

| Intense episode; that rock and lighting... no especially gruesome scenes but scenes that made me jump in my seat all the same. The idiot breaking the tape was predictable.. why wouldn't he have just taken the whole thing, its not like the guy woulda noticed one piece of missing equipment in a room full of the stuff; it was small enough to carry also. | Of course, the tape cut out. The tape always cuts out. Perfectly fine until it gets to the part that matters. I wish they didn't borrow that from all the really bad horror movies that exist. I wish the dream sequence was as glorified and plot-based as the preview led me to believe. I still liked it though, same with the last one. I look forward to more. The deaths made me laugh, as always. :D Neat episode. The dreams further my beliefs that Sakakibara is the dead one. |

I was really on the edge of my seat when they were listening to the tape.. xD The lightning and rock really shocked me omg.. xD Still I'm happy nothing happened to the "main characters" cause I really like them x_x (You knew Teshigawara would make it out alive XD it would be a wayyy to stupid way to die) But I really think someone "imporant" is going to die next week.. :( I wonder who was laying next to the tree.. |
| God damn, this is what I get for watching a currently airing show. I so desperately wish I could watch the next episode right now... but instead, to ease the pain I will just discuss and ponder. By now I can't help but suspect that the curse may not kill you outside of Yomiyama, but it sure as well will kill you on your way out. Either way, escaping won't be that easy. It seems that the calamity may be a lot stronger than I originally thought. Even if Naoya didn't screw up the tape I'd be surprised if it didn't mysteriously scramble itself so they can't hear the important parts. There was something about this episode that kept me on the edge of my seat and my heart racing as the two deaths got closer. I wonder what they will do with that new bit of information regarding Tatsuji. Was he just "acting"? What would he be fibbing about? Either way, there seems to be a lot of crying and panic in the next episode which could lead to some confessions or just be plain old hysteria. Either way I'm more than eager to find out! |

He hasn't been an active character for many episodes now, I wonder where he is??? |

| Mei seemed so sure she won't die and even if everything in the anime is pointing towards her being the dead one, I refuse to believe it! I think it'll be someone we least expect, or maybe not... | Jesus i don't know why but my heart was racing the whole time i was watching this(music was really getting to me too), and what a shit nightmare that was lol. i had pretty clear feeling one of the girls was gonna die after they started to focus on them i just don't get how the ones brother Died first instead of her? still hoping our core group makes it out of it but that number of people is getting thin :( twintails crying in the preview makes me sad |

Rather than seeing, I think it's more appropriate to say she can recognize the dead one because they all could see the dead one as though he/she is alive. Ah...but SEEING would make sense too. After all, she can't see normally through her injured eye, right? So if an injured eye sees something when it shouldn't see anything, it's not a "normal person." However, if she can recognize the dead one, why hadn't she yet?? Could it be that only when going to Yomiyama shrine, will she really be able to distinguish the dead one? Or could she have known already, but she kept on forgetting because of memory alteration? Or could it be...that her eyes become hazy? Or it doesn't work for now? =.= |

| This show still blows. It's a rainy day, therefore the car drives at 20> MPH. The car slows down in preparation to make a turn around the mountain, suddenly, flash rockslide. This results in the car accelerating to 30> MPH, which effectively broke the steel guardrails. Logical. Oh right, flash bulldozer to your second story room is cool too. |

You would rather die in a plane accident (btw, plane is one of the safest vehicles out there) than this. Killed by slipping down mountain - ok, that happens, but you must be quite an idiot to let that happen. Killied by bulldozer(?) - Well, somehow it was hilarious^^ About the 'return of the dead': It was very obvious that it was a dream. But still, it was a nice idea. About that cassette: Why take it out? I'd stop the player and take it with me when hiding instead of trying some dumb shit. When he hid the cassette was still in his hand, the player was still on the floor where they had put it and the tape of the cassette hanging between them. Wouldn't somebody get suspicious if the saw the player of the floor? This Teshigawa(?) guy must be really a retard. Or maybe it's just the story, who doesn't want us to listen to the tape to keep the suspense up -_- Well, still, I liked the ep. Mei was very cute again. Liked it, when Kouichi saved her from the glass or when they both hid together when the man came in. I'm eager to see next ep. People crying in the preview, looked interesting ;-) |

| Rarely have I been unable to find any clue to what will happen next in an anime (well, in a any media to be honest) but Another really is a masterful series in terms of suspense and extremely good at throwing the spectator off the scent in every episode. I'm absolutely not convinced Mei is the dead classmate nor am I convinced that "another" actually exists. This little game that's been repeating for 26 years seems really fishy to me and unless Chibiki has something to do with all this, nothing really makes sense. A truly great thriller up to now, with great characters and fantastic sound direction to boot. |

| The mystery in this series is really beginning to shape up, the tape was the best clue yet and the fact that the man who helped the class in some way freaked out when the boy died but in fact the boy was dead before the boat even hit him. This series does leave cliffhangers at every episode a little obnoxiously at some points, but I'm still voting this as my favorite series of this season so far and when it finishes airing I'll be sure to marathon it to watch the story in sequence instead of weekly. |
| I feel like there were more deaths this time around than usual. I have to say though, the scariest death was the rock smashing the car window. I did NOT expect that! I was expecting a slippery road or a truck to come out of nowhere, but instead, I got a rock smashing the window! scary. |

| It really still could be anyone, at this point. The Another, that is. But yeah. This episode was kinda a huge-ass cliffhanger. But 4 people died this episode, so I guess that makes up for it. | while the main characters are busy exploring, searching for clues and listening to the tape, i keep on shouting.. STOP PANNING THE SIDE CHARACTERS, PLEASE!! it got me thinking how they're going to die or something.. this episode is very heart racing.. it's not the horrific visuals of these kinds of stories that terrify you (see fail nightmare in the earlier part of the episode), but the atmosphere, direction and music.. this show is really having a good time making us predict what will happen next but not exactly how it would happen.. and that's when we get surprised.. and way to debunk that theory on the guy who died in the previous ep outside Yomiyama because one of them is the "Another".. the events of his eventual death are already prepared and settled in Yomiyama? kuh.. still doesn't stop us speculating that the "Another" is one of the main characters, though.. mdz said: It's a rainy day, therefore the car drives at 20> MPH. We already know that it alters people's memories, so it's not impossible to imagine that it influences other thoughts in this way. Hypothetically: the phenomenon didn't want anybody to hear what was on the rest of the tape, so, rather than kill all four of them, it simply influenced Teshigawara to remove the cassette and get it snagged. |
