| Final Fantasy VIII was very difficult for me (the final boss that is). Just seemed like it would never end. I had all my characters (yes, all and it was very annoying -_-) at lv 99 and had all but 2 summons and I still got creamed. When I did beat it (which I will never know how I managed to with only Squall alive with only 1hp) I was pretty much suffering from insomnia. I started laughing like a lunatic (or at least that's what my grandma said) and then suddenly just passed out after the lil ending credit scene. Out of all the Final Fantasy games I've played and beat this one was the hardest. I guess that's why it's my favorite. ^^ |

| A good amount of NES games. Back then it was fine but game design has changed a bit now. I would say NES games are more "harsh". |
| Hmmm, hardest for me would be Halo1 on legendary. Love the game(not so much the sequels) but that difficulty annoyed the hell out of me. |

| Last Action Hero for the SNES...it got insane on the higher up levels. Load Runner 3D was also a challenge, but I'm not amazing at puzzle games. >.> |

| Armored Core: Nine Breaker. The game wasn't THAT difficult but the I just couldn't get used to the controls, when I played it on a PC however (*cough* emulator*cough*) it was fairly easy. Of course, I'm not counting games like I wanna be the Guy or The Most difficult game ever because they were intentionally made to be extremely hard and frustrating. |

| I hated "Uzumaki Naruto Chronicle" or whatever it was spelled since the controlls was hard, and the missions were to hard too. I have almost never given up on a game, but this time i did. But I remember one of the FMA games being pretty hard too, and the grapic sucked.. big times..... |

| Double Dragon 3 on the NES, can't remember which Battle Toads on the SNES but it was _insanely_ hard... god with that game.. and then ofcourse Contra. :) Regarding hard RPGs i consider that Breath of Fire 3 was quite a challenge. Never really had problems with the Final Fantasy series. (Several hour boss fights in FF12 = win!! -___-) Edit: Hacksaw, same battletoad with that fewking rat-race thing on the rails and some kind of surf boarding in the swamp or something...? quite a coinsidence that i only just saw your reply : ) |

| I Want to be the Guy. Hardest freaking game in existence. Then again, it's designed to be that way... Touhou on lunatic is tough, I can't beat it without using most of my continues. I can get close in Perfect Cherry Blossom, but that one seems easier than most of the others. Also, Silver Surfer for the NES. One hit kills, no life bar, no extra lives (well, having extra lives doesn't do anything, anyway). Not even fun. |

| hands down the most difficult game i've ever played was contra for the ps2. you know a game's pretty much impossible when you can't get past stage 2 even with a cheat code that gives you 30+ lives. |

| God Hand, hands down. You get cocky with your moves, the difficulty rises in-game, you get your ass kicked difficulty goes down. Going through the whole game in a permanent DIE Difficulty is just too much, tho not impossible, just way hard. |
