| I haven't seen any epic openings for bad anime. Usually if the opening is epic, it at least brings the show up enough for me to avoid being crappy. Usually. |

One of the worst shows I have watched from 2011, and certainly the worst of the three I have completed so far (I have lots of catching up to do), happens to have one of the best OPs I have heard from a 2011 anime. And seconding Cowabunga's suggestion of the Canaan OP. And while I actually liked this show, maybe because it was so cliché and crappy... |

By presenting Umineko as a straightforward story/fantasy/mystery series, Deen completely missed the entire point of Ryukishi07's visual novel. The anime is bad because it takes all the horrible face-value stuff from Umineko and pretends that's all there is to it. The original work is dense metafiction which seems to basically acknowledge that the plot and characters are complete shit and uses them as a jumping off point to present the reader with something that's actually interesting. The anime is nothing but a jumbled mess of poorly-written characters doing stupid stuff for no reason. |
