| Well, I'm glad that Kenshin is getting more coverage, with the new OVAs, a live-action movie, and now a new manga :D. I am a bit wary of sequels to mangas, especially one as great as Rurouni Kenshin was, but I hope that this will continue to make Kenshin as popular as it was back then! |

| I am not excited. RK is already a complete story. And if it was to focus around Yahiko or Kenshin's son, it would be boring, since they aren't interesting characters. |
| I see what you guys mean; it is a complete story. But IF it's set before Kenshin's oath not to kill, in the Bakamatsu, it'd be interesting to see more of his Battousai side. I certainly hope it's not a milked extension to the series and fits in as if it was there originally. |

| Perhaps it's just a rewrite (I guess?) or something, kinda like how they're redoing the HunterxHunter anime. Whether or not that's the case, I still have to read the original. ^^V |
| First I got all excited, "Omg RK is back", but now that people are saying that it's a reboot, I don't know what to think. I'd rather read about Kenji or Yahiko, with Kenshin only giving advices and things like that, than reading another story about him that creates "holes" in the original story, or just a reboot. I'll read anyways, but when I first read the news I was expecting for something as epic as the original series. Now I don't know anymore. |

| Seriously this series needs a complete remake, not lame OVAs or movies anymore. We need a TV series with a good budget, staff who loves and cares for the series and a proper adaptation from the manga (I'm still so pissed at the Seisouhen OVAs). They seriously have no excuse for not doing this, the manga is finished, the series already has its reputation in and outside Japan and still boasts a healthy following. And there's precedent for this, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood went back to the very beginning and adapted the whole manga faithfully. Of all series from the 90s, Rurouni Kenshin needs this desperately, especially with all the bullshit filler episodes the first -and only- TV adaptation had (in fact it was because of them that the show was cancelled, they were that bad) Hell, just give the damn work to Studio Bones, they did a pretty good job with FMA Brotherhood. |

| The article indicates that the new manga is a movie tie-in rather than a sequel. I'm a bit disappointed, as I had hoped for a Kenji/Shinya story, but I'm still curious to see the new manga when it comes out. |
