Do you like long-term story, medium-long or animes with only just few episodes (e.g. 10-25 ep.)?
What is your main reason?
How do you often feel at the ending?

prefer something along the lines of 20-30
Tight efficient telling of the story, If the ending is enough to satisfy me then I'll move on.

I really don't care much about how long it lasts, as long as it's good and entertaining. For example, I wish ga-rei zero and sasameki koto had more episodes, since I think they are just too short. But something like one piece, for example (in the 100s) sucks big time.

Shouldn't short be around 12 episodes? Medium, 2x, Long 5x?

I'll have to say medium. Short animes are usually around 12 eps? Thats to short, doesn't give enough time for character development. Though some animes do. And some long animes seem to stretch it to far and the story ends up being stupid...

People actually care about that stuff? As long as what I'm watching is good, I don't care how long it is.

I do however wish for my favorite shows to be endless... but who wouldn't ?

I made those numbers roughly. That's based on everyone's personality I guess. :)

Some people may be actually looking forward to the ending. Plus poll yet says it's opinion about endless anime. :)

I tend to think of short as 12 or less. They can be good if tightly written but often end up the last three or so eps.

Medium long to long, just not endless.

Well, if something is good, then naturally, I want it to be as long as it can possibly be without becoming dragged out or bloated by filler.
But definitely not endless. After all, the longer it goes on the more likely it is to devolve into repetitive crap, and a ending is after all one of the most important parts of a story.

I usually like 26ish the most, enough time to tell a good story without rushing and develop its characters well but not enough time to overstay its welcome.

That's just my personal preference though, as there are exceptions both high and low, but I feel like that applies to whatever anyone will say.

I prefer both ~25 and ~50 episode series, but... I guess if I had to choose between them, I would go for a ~50 episode series that takes the time to truly flesh out everything in those 50ish episodes.

20-50 something is a good range, so I guess that's the medium-long choice.

Would love to see an option about just caring about the anime being enjoyable(length is a completely separate issue) and with less obvious bias.

Something around 24-26 episodes is a good length to tell a story. 12-13 episodes isn't bad since some have second seasons.

I'd rather not watch something that's over 300 episodes.

Depends on if there's a higher-level plotline.

If it's very story-driven and looking to just tell a story, I prefer it short.

If it's trying to develop characters and focus more on the relationships between the character, medium-wise is fine.

If it has no higher-level plot, then it can go on forever for all I care.

I'm not a huge fan of long-running manga series with snails-pace plotlines that get anime releases.

50+ episodes is probably the best lenght, from my experience. Most of the ones I've seen with that many episodes have turned out to be some of the best anime's I've seen yet.

There's a good balance of character development. But it's more susceptible to fillers and bad pacing.

Good length to get marathon or take a break after following (which short is better), but medium-long is good, too. I cannot follow endless anime, unless I know from the manga where to watch from like Detective Conan or in the beginning.

I like 24-26 episodes usually. There are some good short anime, but I feel they'll never be as memorable as a longer one. I can't get into the big anime with 100+ episodes... I had to convince myself to watch monster, and I even gave that a little break, but it's worth it so far(a little more than half way done).

I don't really mind how long the anime is, as long is it has an awesome and interesting story to it. Some of the best animes that I've seen are less than 20 epsiodes long. As long as there's an ending (endless ones get kinda boring after a while) any amount of episodes would be fine ^^

I hate endless Animes...

I will probably die before Naruto ends. (I prefer Animes with 24-26 episodes, though usually Animes with 12 episodes are the best)

Depends on how good the anime is, really.

Generally speaking, however, I tend to favour shows which last for 30 episodes or less.

I didn't vote, because I think the poll itself is flawed. Where is the option for ~13 episodes? Because there are a LOT of anime with that running length. How is ~50 episodes considered 'medium' and 25 episodes 'short'? I've seen some ~25-episode anime that had pointless or filler episodes, or overly dragged out plot points, slow down the pacing to a crawl. ~13 episodes is actually ideal for a lot of stories; it's already longer than 4 hours, which is twice as long as a typical movie, and many movies are able to tell a good, complete story within 2 hours.

Overall, it depends on the scale of the story. Just how much story material is there to tell? The length of an anime would ideally be determined by that factor.

I prefer medium length anime. It's a decent length in which you can actually finish it and feel fulfilled most of the time. Although, short anime is nice to when I want a quick watch, but sometimes I find myself longing for more. I also kind of like endless anime. Call me crazy, but I love it. It just gives me more time to savor the characters.

It's understandable. You actually get to know one characters perfectly and you always wonder about and ending of certain situation, not the end of whole anime. ;)

Medium seems to be the average length I like, although it really depends on the series. I notice that some would have been better shorter, while some, like Angel Beats! for example, should have been longer.

Really, it all depends on the series.

It's hard for me to answer... I have no issues with any length, but I'm always sad when I finish an anime that I enjoyed, and I wish it was longer. But being longer would possibly ruin it. I guess medium length (as in around 30), since it's a good amount of episodes to be enjoyed, but not a daunting number.
