THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------

Is it just me, or has this series gone from somewhat interesting to very repetitive and boring with the last 4-5 episodes? All the fights seem the same and the plot development (the talking) is just so monotone and boring, that I usually catch myself dozing off or not even paying attention anymore. Hopefully things start to pick up after this episode.

i thought by now we would see so more improvement but so far its the same boring space thing. even though i did feel a tad bit sorry for the bronze tribe.

I was sick of it by the 5th episode, but I'm still hoping for some potential and I have no life during summer so... D:

What a piece of crap. This anime began as "potentially interesting" to "utterly boring".

Now I fastforward each episode... looking for anything slightly interesting.

It's a miracle I haven't dropped it yet.

Yeah, I hear you. I think that since I've already gotten this far in the show, I might as well finish it up.

What really pisses me off is how everyone seems to spend half each episode saying the same terribly trite and worthy and utterly dry things they said in the last one. Most of the other half is spent reacting in apparent helplessness to what that arsehole prince and his underling are doing (WHY didn't they keep them locked up when they had them?), with a little time left over to have silly Nodos flying around and going GRAAAAR while killing space-fleas by the million, or eating shovels or something.

And won't someone please buy Admiral Breasts a tshirt or something? And that silver tribe chick too. There's sci-fi sexy, and then there's "welcome to my fanservice titsuit".

I thought this was a nice episode, actually. Rather than just being another endless beam-battle, this one turned out to be the massacre of an "innocent" planet. Something different. Well, I didn't feel sorry for the Bronze Tribe though. If they didn't look like insects (which I detest) I would've pitied them.

I'm glad because somehow this series is no boring for me (at least not yet). And i just have seen another good episode, good to see people can realize when to stop fighting, to avoid massacre.

And i think 95% anime series can be boring at some point so it's not something unusual in this case.

It's the highly risky AE86 formation! This usually involves some difficult intergalactic drifting.

Didn't they say that in one of the first episodes or so? It wasn't news to me...

What really amazes me about this episode is how the moment they started showing the larva I got a sinking feeling and immediately sympathized with them. I thought that was just me being over sentimental so I'm glad they actually turned that into a theme later on. No creature would want to see its newborns massacred.

wow this show made me feel bad for bugs. They are just tools after all and they were being wiped out even the babies.

Hmmm, I'm actually finding this anime to be less boring for me as I get further into it. This episode was a good one, although a bit predictable.

Man, when are we actually going to see Yuty fight? The last episode? lmao

Feel bad for the Bronze Tribe. They're essentially the punching bag of this series. And to have their planet massacred is rough too.

I'm amazed at how the Brothers are still wielding so much authority.

Seeing the larvae at Belcross's feet...

Though the Tribe of Silver did nothing to defend the very race providing their frontline soldiers. I think that's because they wanted to test what humanity would do.

They need to lure out the remaining Nodos for Age/Belcross to fight, but the Tribe of Silver have a very different culture that the symbolism of invading your former invader's planet means nothing to them but means a lot to the Tribe of Iron. They need to go to the Tribe of Silver to fight them, instead of provoking them at terminal planets.

Novels I have read/am reading pending approval: since November 10 2022

Best episode so far, and I feel it will also be the best of the whole series.
