...wow okay how old is Jervis again? I forgot. But last i checked when you make out with a loli orphan girl that is usually not legal *_*

He should call the cops on himself.

"What happens when we die?" I know that the ones who love us will miss us.

Yea, coz back then...there was no such thing called "malice."
But now, almost anything is malicious to everyone. Lawl

Edit: I wanna watch the episodes already. Waiting isn't my thing when I'm REALLY enjoying it. T_T (finish downloading already! For goodness sake! lawl)
I'm bound by reading the story instead. Lawl xD

Their age gap is around 13-14 years.
Also, the thing about Jervis is that he never intended to fall in love with Judy. This sentiment is especially highlighted in the final episode.

I agree with everyone else that the age gap would've looked different in 1912. Girls did get married as young as their teens back then, sometimes. Since this is Judy's last year of high school, I think she must be about 17, right? A 16 or 17 year old being romantically involved with a man in his late twenties or early 30s might raise some eyebrows, but not to the same extent it would today.

For the record, in the original novel, Judy starts off at age 18, so although there's still a bit of an age gap, all the lolicon-ish issues aren't there at all. This is one of the things I don't like about the anime: I wish they hadn't made her so much younger than Jervis!

Wow... the age gap. But it's fine. They love each other.

Oh my it happened, best boy won! I really enjoy the development of Judy and Jervis throughout the series, ever since the beginning they were adorable together.

Glad that's over and done with, wasn't enjoying melodramatic Judy.

Well, sitting through all the cheesy drama was definitely worth it, nice kiss. Still disappointed that this series dropped in quality so much.

Poor Judy, that was a nightmare all right. She was also feeling really alone since she assumed that Jervis hated her, was going to marry, and that she couldn't count on Daddy Long Legs anymore since she, understandably, rebelled against him. Even her manuscript was sent back and anyone would feel disheartened. But thankfully she has Julia and Salie, her Daddy Long Legs is finally listening to her, and she could confess her feelings directly to Jervis this time. He felt the same way too so I think they are pretty much official now.

based on how good the first 20 episodes or so was, i thought for sure i was watching a potential favorite.. disappointed by how the series really dropped the ball in its second half.

Ok this is just a big stab in the balls. I can only hope the ending somehow, in some inconceivable way, redeems it. I haven't lost all faith yet, at least it wasn't like a complete disaster or anything. Just absolutely disappointing.

You might as well be my twin. I have this 100% exact same thought. Wtf happened to the blissful, magical first half? Like wtf am I even watching rn? Also Judy went from an endearing and perhaps even unique protagonist to a schmaltzy overdramatic shoujo milksop. This show felt like it once was capable of effortlessly elate me and somehow always managed to put the biggest grin on my face. Fuck me, now I hate myself for falling in love with the first half so much just to get shit on the face like this in the end.

Judy is dramatic as always but in the end they reconcile. I got shock when Jervis kiss Judy! She's minor fyi lol but ngl, their lovestory is cute but he should wait until she's 18.
I'm fine with age gap as long as no minor involved.
