Oh great, it has all of Railgun's introduced side characters. Joy. Just to make few points sure: Satan is a Railgun character. Uiharu is NOT a Railgun character. She appeared in Index novels before Railgun manga even started publishing. |

| Just from the preview, I really hope this does not derail to pure fanservice. I mean we had to see a clothless Index in just 20 seconds of the preview. Looks like it is going to follow the manga a bit. At least Last Order is alright, says Misaka Misaka with joy. |

Looks like it is going to follow the manga a bit. At least Last Order is alright, says Misaka Misaka with joy. Index anime is not the adaptation of Index manga. It is adaptation of Index novels. And no, it won't be pure fanservice. There is a lot of story and the connections between arcs become stronger as the story goes on. |

No, they both take content directly from the novel which is why you see differences in how the adaptations depict some events. |

| I watched index before railgun and when i saw railgun i recognized her somehow so im pretty sure she makes some appearance. now as to an episode number etc sorry ^^ |

Since when did Uihara made an appearance in Index? I mean except for the opening song. She didn't appear in the anime, but she does appear in later novels (Novel #8, which will be the 2nd arc of S2, introduced her). |

| Would it be too much to hope for Index(THE MAIN FRIKIN CHARACTER) to have a slightly larger role in this one? and perhaps an actual ending that would be nice too. Either way i see kuroko so its all good. |

| Index was not the main character by any proper definition, and it didn't end because it wasn't over. It was the first six volumes of a series that is still in print, we have 21 now, there will be more. |

| Are all shows named after the main character now? Sorry I didn't get that memo. Might I ask what character .Hack//sign is named after? Okay, sarcasm aside it seems far more likely that it's named after index the index of prohibited literature rather than index the character, though this point is irrelevant in deciding upon the main character I still feel the need to point it out. As for your second point, if you mean you wish they ended on a stronger note, like maybe even tried to create a sense of closure and excitement for more to come as if... oh I don't know, let's say hypothetically we weren't going to be seeing any more of them for a while? Yes that would be nice, but I figure they work with what they're given and it was still preferable to rewrites for the sole purpose of creating a dramatic finish. I think no ending is vastly better than manufactured early endings. Soul eater comes to mind as I say this. |
| Oh I'm definitely not wanting them to make up something that wasn't in the original work, you have the right of it with the ending on a stronger note being what I was hoping for and am still hoping for going into this one. and concerning index herself, not so much main character per se, more like main heroine as Touma is obviously the main character. |

| Fair enough. In the novels it seems like touma is the main hero and Misaka the main heroine, but I think confusion is created after each of their stories is explored separately in their own series. Haven't read all the novels so I don't pretend to be an expert, that's just how it seems to me. Volume seven wouldn't have had the conclusiveness we're looking for, just about done volume eight and I don't think it will either. Given 24 episodes asking them to stretch it out to volume nine would just be far too much. Sucks that it has to be that way but he probably didn't write them with the intention that it be divided up into miniseries. As a side note, this Teh Ping guy at bakatsuki has been hauling ass with the translations. He's bridging gaps and translating like nobodies business. Now is a fantastic time to pick up the novels if you're interested. |

| It seems to be the pattern thus far that a few characters get introduced every volume or story arch. Some maintain relevance later, some don't. I wouldn't be too taken aback by the number of bit villains and quest npc's. I suspect that after their story's done we won't hear too much from them again. Like Auriolis Izzard. He was badass in his arc, but I'm not hanging around waiting for a second appearence. At this point I'm pretty sure the main cast is set, though I could be wrong. |
