| Well, that problem was solved so fast, it was... unsettling? I don't know, in the end, I guess those kind of problems really are solved like that after all. A bit of bitterness and you lose your cool, then you need to vent and sort things out. Shit happens. Now Junichi, it's to man up and understand that you just love her. It's not uncommon for friends to fall in love with each other. It's not overly common, but it happen from time to time. Now, shut the fuck up, and just tell her! But you know what? Arc ends next episode and it will obviously happen. Then I hope for a hot belly kiss. |

| The scene he planned out when he gave her the chocolates, said a cool line, and then walked away, went too well for an anime. I expected the chocolates to be expired xD And I'm guessing we'll be finding out what those three girls were talking about one of their arcs. This would be a cool anime to watch again to notice all the little things. |
| I like how they are intertwining all the stories together, it feels a lot more natural that way and can also see other characters meanwhile. Finally we got some drama where there was almost none in the first arc. Kaoru proves to be the best heroine of this show again, that's for certain. And I totally loved how she toss him over when he touched her while saying it's okay to cry. He totally deserved it. And it was great move on behalf of creator to dismiss this stupid cliche in such original way :D |
| First half was incredibly boring, second half was a bit better. Still not enough to not make this the worst epsiode so far. |
| Glad Kaoru is fine now! Still, seeing her mother with another man out of nowhere can really be shocking. Falling in love with Kaoru!! Also nice to see Morishima, but a more background role. I guess this is just one of those scenarios if he chooses Kaoru instead. Can't wait for next episode! |

| The drama just feels oh so SLIGHTLY forced into this in an attempt to give more weight to Kaoru and the arc as a whole. Sure she pretty much gets over it in about a day thanks to some supportive words from Tachibana, but I think she overreacted just a tad bit too much about her mother and the guy she was seeing. Or maybe it's unfair of me to judge, for Kaoru did mention that she had never seen the guy before, suggesting that the mom never brought it up with her which indeed might hurt a little. And on top of that she misses her dad, and probably would want no one to replace him, and to just keep on working and living with her mom, just the two of them. Yeah never mind the very minuscule nitpick actually, I'm actually going to simply appreciate that we have more factors in play to this arc other than just romance. Anyway on an unrelated note, just looking ahead, what looks to be the last episode of Rihoko's arc has the lowest rated episode of the season at 3.3. Looks like my intuition was right: the time we spend with this chick is going to be the low point of the series. |
