It was very cute. But at the same time it was so sad knowing that Faye couldn't remember any of that.

Overall great episode.

Really loved this ep! M.. it just proves that even if its 10 years old, it doesn't meant it's 10 years less interesting.

Great episode, I especially enjoyed the search across the solar system for a Betamax player :P And they found a VHS player. XD

What a series, I think the main, less episodic plot is starting now :D

i loved this episode, it had it's funny parts, and then the video was really cute and sweet.. it was also kind of sad because faye has no memories of her younger self, i bet she didn't even know she looked like that

What an episode! There were funny and amusing parts and yet the part about Faye's past was also sad and melancholic. Now in the time frame of this series, in 2071, she's around 23. Faye was brought out of cold sleep back in 2068. And she was 20 then.

Back in episode 15, she was told that she had been in cold sleep for 54 years. So that means she was originally 20 years old back in 2014. How old is her younger self in this episode? 14? 16?

Assuming that she's 14 or 16, that means that this video of her younger self was taken back in sometime around 2008 to 2010. Instead of a message from 10 years ago, it's sort of like a message from 60 over years ago.

Such a huge distance in time, space and memories between her current self and her younger self. I found it heartwarming and yet sad at the same time. It was really great to see her younger self cheering for her older self though.

Spike and Jet made such a long journey across space to earth and endured so much just to get an old VHS player. Hahaha! And there was a Merlion statue in the video as well. Lol, a clue to which country Faye came from?

One of the best episodes I've seen so far.

Lovely episode. We couldn't get much info on Faye though.
When the guy started to explain the videotapes, for a moment I thought this was an alternate future where betamax won over VHS lol

I almost expected Spike and Jet to go back and get the Betamax player once they found out they had the wrong one. :'D This episode was really great. Good mix of different elements too... There was comedy, but at the same time the end was sad and quite serious. I feel bad for Faye. It must stink to see yourself and not remember anything...

Loved the Japanese legend that Jet was telling at the beginning of that guy who saved the turtles too. Surely a parallel to Faye's life.

Lighthearted beginning, and a touching/disturbing ending. One that only Cowboy Bebop could pull off so well.

While I was watching Young!Faye cheering for herself, I couldn't help but think "Well, that's all fine and dandy, now can you say your name for the camera?"

Great episode, though.

First of all, I cannot believe that tape is still playable after what Spike did to it. Secondly, they should have traced the sender, I wonder who it might be.

Somewhat emotional episode.

lol i thought that too but i've never had a betamax tape before so i wouldn't know how much sturdier it would be or not to a vhs.

This episode was really great. It was touching and a revelation but it also had some comedy. Interesting how they eased in on it by showing what Faye does over the course of the episode and then at the end. I had a feeling Faye would pretend to leave, but then stay and watch secretly.

As much as the young version of herself is quite different from now, I can still see how they are the same. I felt sorry for her because she couldn't remember.

Such an amazing episode.
The comedy has me laughing non stop.
After such an epic quest across the galaxy...they come home.
With the wrong god damn thing.

And then it's tense. Sad. Depressing even. Perfect mixture.

Great episode filled with a balanced mix of comedy and later melancholy. The ending really blindsided me. Somehow, seeing the innocent 20th century Faye cheer her current self on like that just really made me sad.

Man Spike can be so blunt sometimes! I'm sure if the guy wasn't there Spike would end up destroying the VHS store!

The message in the tape feels so nostalgic and melancholic... it gave a great ending to an overall fun episode.

And lol at Ein answering the phone :D

Such a good episode over all, it was just to bad Fey ran off in the beginning. It was nice to see a bit more of Fey's past added to the series, even though it wasn't much, or anything important really it was a good add. Was kind of sad she couldn't remember any of that though.

I like how, if they had listened to the tech fanatic, Spike and Jet might have known which player to grab…since he said beta is smaller and all.

Found the ending and the contrast of “don’t lose me” and “I can’t remember” disheartening.

Decent episode, even though the plot felt a bit ridiculous at some points (especially the climbing through the abandoned museum to get to the players…they were going to slide 400+ feet down the elevator shaft---really?). I hope it is revealed later on who is sending the stuff to Faye…

Damn, now I'm so curious about Faye's past! I hope that they will say something more, at least from what country is she from. I would vote for Japan, but then I started to think about language and then I started to be confused because it's anime and they all speak Japanese anyway... Ah, whatever.
I loved the whole thing with video tapes. I miss them somehow now too, my VHS is kind of broken :(

Most of the episode was just a fun adventure romp, with some entertaining exploration to find out the big mystery of what was on Faye's tape. But when we finally saw what's on it... BIG emotional payoff in good way for Faye's character.Great episode. 8.5/10
