| I use to hide it because my folks are very narrow minded. When they hear the word animé they think Sailor Moon and Hello Kitty. But after I stopped caring what they thought then I didn't bother hiding it anymore. I don't care how many stupid comments they make. Anyone who thinks Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Monster and ef - a tale of memories is "childish" is an idiot. Lolz. |

| I do not run around wearing like a naruto head band or whatever. I think people who excessively flaunt they are so awesome because they watch naruto are stupid. I will talk about it with people and such though :D |

| I'm pretty open about it. I have some shirts that feature animes as well as some wallets and messenger bags. I ask everyone I engage in a conversation of personal interests in if they watch anime and if they don't i try to sell it to them sorta..like i let my friends borrow my animes that have never seen anime, let them give it a shot for themselves since most people i know who dislike it have only seen the crap on american TV. |

| My family and anyone who knows me personally knows I like anime, but I don't advertise it to random strangers. I won't list it as an interest when introducing myself in front of class or anything. Not that I'm ashamed, per se, but rather so many people still view anime as cartoons for children and I don't want to immediately stigmatize myself. |

| Hmm... I'm more like the... I like it. I'll talk about it with close friends that also likes anime. But I won't ask people if they like anime. But if they ask me, I'll just tell them that I do. Some of the general public doesn't really know what the difference between an Otaku and just a fan. And just groups any anime fan into the otaku group.... =_='' I think that's what bothers me, since I don't really like being grouped with the Otakus very much.. I mean, I do fangirl over the bishies in anime ._. but I don't go "omg I'm going to die if I don't get that figurine!!!!! x_x" that kind of acts.. o_O' I feel like I'm not making any sense right now.. ._.' I am a tad bit tired from studying late last night...or I should say, early morning.. Mabye it's kicking in now.. =_=' |

| I don't constantly bring it up unless someone else is talking to me or I'm with an extremely good friend, but I don't hide the fact that I like anime, manga, and Japanese culture. It's part of who I am and I like that. edit; Well, unless it's Death Note or Hana Yori Dango because those two are my top favourites and I constantly reference them in my every day life. xD |

| I'm not a secret watcher by any means. anyone than knows me even a little bit knows I'm a n anime fan, and I have conversations with my anime-watching friends about it all the time. I don't go around and flaunt it like "BWAHHH!!! I IS ANIME FAN!" but I sure don't hide it. |

| I'm not secretive about it, as I see no reason to be. In fact, I gave a speech about it this past semester, as we were supposed to give an informative speech on a topic we were very familiar with. It was a speech class, and so afterwards you get back evaluations from classmates on it, and mostly I just got comments like they didn't know what anime really was, and treated it in a pretty stereotypical way before my speech (seen as kiddy stuff or cartoon porn, generally), but that changed a lot of people's views and some of them started watching some series I recommended. So, in my experience me talking about it has only led to more fans. I don't ramble on about it all the time though, because not all of my friends watch anime, and they wouldn't appreciate me only obsessing over one of my hobbies. Which is what I view it as, a hobby, and I have many others as well. I'm not secretive about me watching asian dramas, liking music (particularly Arashi, I talk about them quite a bit...), reading or writing fic, etc., so like I said, no reason to keep my love of anime a secret. Anyone who's been around me more than half an hour probably knows that I like at least one of these things. |

| I find its best not to make a big deal out of it. If people see me watching, they usually ask and I say "yeah, I like anime" and that's that. I don't bring it up in conversation except with people I know who like it and my apartment isn't a shrine to my geekdom. I don't talk in Japanese unless it's in Japanese class or with other classmates outside of Japanese class. I go to cons. I don't treat the occasion like its Christmas morning. I don't cosplay but I appreciate the people who do and do it right. Okay, enough rambling. On to better things. |

Not many of my friends know that I watch it, only my 2 closet friends actually know that I watch anime, so that should give you an idea on how much I dont spread the word. When my family see's me with an anime dvd box they think its a video game. |

| I always was bullied on watching anime when I was in high school..however I never stopped watching them, though I talked less. Actually I really suffer when I watch a nice anime and don't have anybody to talk about it T T...however I don't fill like making a mistery, so I alwasy say I'm watching them,but with less enthusiasm if I'm talking to people who don't watch them. |
