| I try. I make a point in all my threads to either reiterate or reword the point of the thread and ask people to respond or discuss. By asking the same question multiple ways it gets different answers out of different people. Depends on the thread and whatnot but I do spend a moment to make sure I can net proper responses. |

| Yeah, meaningful is great. But sometimes it's nice to have low quality, inconsequential banter as an escape from day-to-day civility. I'm probably somewhere in the 3 to 7 range of meaningfulness. |

| For the most part, I think so. What does "meaningful" mean here? I assume I keep things meaningful. The same is true of being civil. Maybe the exception is if someone wants to debate politics or something. I don't debate politics, least of all against someone everyone knows is wrong. I'm more inclined to laugh at such a person. I can be very uncivil. If for whatever reason you just really want to debate me, the topic of debate can be on which anime waifu is hottest. Though generally speaking, I'm not interested in debates. I'm more interested in posts that are like... just about your day or life. I like reading about other people and on occasion sharing about myself. | In mal [comments to the threads not as a creator of the thread] - Sometimes I do like it, to the point of even trying to write from a point of view which is not affiliated with my personal view on a subject just to make a fun conversation, tho few times the discussion went a little bit too harsh an both sides are to be blamed including obviously me. In real life - I like it, tho it is more civil because of other "language/communication" parts which are impossible in the mal forums such as body language, pitch of voice etc. And no matter how far it goes I always try to make it as civil and nice as it can be. |
