They used the anime to promote their idol group/project, like an expensive marketing campaign.
Ofcourse they're not done with the project, but it doesn't mean we'll get season 2.
Maybe we'll eventually get a season 2, but that is far from decided

A second season specifically hasn't been announced, so it could be anything. First of all, how are things going with Blu-ray sales, and all the merchandising they have put up for sale, and See how much profit they make and if it goes well, maybe in two or three years we will have a 2nd season, but not before. Let's not forget that this anime has not been able to be viewed legally internationally and that they have not Benefit of having sold it to a streaming platform like crunchyroll
