Warner Bros. Japan announced on Wednesday that the Tonikaku Kawaii anime series is receiving a four-episode original net anime series, titled Joshikou-hen (High School Days). The official website also revealed a key visual (pictured), additional cast, theme songs, and a promotional video. The ONA series premieres on July 12.
Synopsis
Nasa, at the request of his former junior high school teacher, Ms. Yanagi, finds himself entrusted with teaching a programming class at a high school. But here's the catch—it's an all-girls' school. Surrounded by the limitless energy of teenage girls, Nasa tries to maintain his composure, but deep down, he can't help feeling nervous.
A capricious boyfriend, secret admiration for someone, and a multitude of romantic dilemmas that can't be solved by programming, Nasa wonders if he can crack the equation of love!

Ikehata Hiroshi (Murenase! Seton Gakuen) returns to direct the original net anime at Seven Arcs. Kazuho Hyoudou (ReLIFE) is in charge of the series composition. Masakatsu Sasaki (Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai) is designing the characters. Endou. (Akiba's Trip The Animation) is composing the music.
The first anime season aired in Fall 2020, and the second anime season began airing in Spring 2023. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons worldwide, excluding Asia.
The anime series adapts Kenjirou Hata's romantic comedy manga, which began serializing in Shounen Sunday in February 2018. Shogakukan shipped the 23rd volume on March 16, and the 24th volume is scheduled to be released on Friday. The title has a cumulative 4.6 million copies of its volumes in circulation.
Viz Media licensed the manga in English in February 2020. The 17th volume went on sale on May 9, with the 18th volume set for a July 11 release.
