This was a much lighter and slower-paced episode, but since we already got to know the characters, this episode had great flow (reminded me of Firefly)

Slow paced but still rather interesting episode. A little bit of character development too.

They're getting closer to Melfina, but not much else really.

That fight is one of the most disappointing anime fights I have ever seen.

the little robots are kinda cute. Not a bad episode just showing a normal day for the crew.

This episode was alright, a lot of scenes of the crew just hanging around. Gene and Jim argue awkwardly and then get in a weirdly short fight.

Amazing episode! Gene and Jim thought they killed Zomba, but it seems Suzuka did it herself. Just wish they actually showed him getting cut down, even if it was instant.

I don't mind the filler. Nice to take a break until they actually go to the main city.

honestly i think this episode has more going on in it then people think

pretty sure gene taking the bounty on zomba was less about the money and fight itself but more about his attempt at a return to form in life after his mini fallout with jim by doing something which had been heavily hinted to be a prominent part of their income/life in the show before hilda and all the space shit came along. he probably enjoys being around and cares a lot for jim, almost like a son; in an attempt to bring things back to normal he tries a method of pathos evoking nostalgia of old times (since at this point they have been in space for a while and a lot has occured in 9 episodes), which he doesn't show his care directly but through a method where he isn't gonna have his balls busted by jim and through indirect mannerisms. i think this also explains why he was a complete asshat to melfina during the first few episodes even though she seemingly did nothing wrong; melfina had hung around/talked a lot with jim in the beginning iirc --> gene gets jealous --> shows it through overall hostility. he only lets up when jim tells him to stop being a cunt in episode 5 and he realizes he's gotta make it work, after this soon truly getting to stop to smell the roses and realizes melfina's situation (in which he says he'll help because he's obliged to tend to hilda's wishes, but watching more shows otherwise). it seems mostly in his character and does explain some things but this is all just a quick take i thought of in like 5 seconds, felt like sharing my overanalysis for feedback.

I always dig the intro with Gilliam's voice, laying down breadcrumbs of the story.

The space shots and aesthetics in the show are gorgeous.

Jim is obviously the adult here. I feel bad for him because Gene is so immature. I would like to know more of Jim's backstory and why he had to grow up so quickly.

Suzuka just being classy as ever. Melfina is absolutely a mother figure to Jim, it's sweet.

I think this is an important episode in the crew bonding and realizing their interpersonal issues. (ESPECIALLY between Jim and Gene). Also, very essential for more character development.

Poor Gene, but at least they got some money. I guess even with Suzuka on their team, she won't readily bail them out financially? Seems like she should at least pay rent or something, to help offset the costs of docking and what not. But, I guess Gene doesn't particularly care one way or another.

Gene Was a annoying lazy ass in this episode. I was with Jim with how they need to start putting a plan together. Good thing Gene pulled throw at the end.

The fighting choreography is poor half of the time because of overextended budget.

This episode was alright it's mainly the Outlaw Star crew going about their day to day life when they aren't in space I guess. Don't know why Gene and Jim had an argument but I guess it was probably there for character development I'm all for, the plot involving the bounty they had to go after I feel didn't really go anywhere personally, oh they took down a fake only for the real one to be killed off by Suzuka offscreen anyway. What was the point of it? Who knows. Still love this show I just think the episode in question was just eh. I mean they got some money from the fight that's something.

Otherwise once again the episode was kind eh. Good for character development, not so much for action and story wise. But good news we are going to deal with Aisha again. That'll be something at the very least.
