| Holy shit, Naruko had an absolute fierce look on his face this episode. This was his time to not only shine but also to prove himself as one of the most determined competitors in this arc/show. Not going to lie, I think Akira Midousuzi made this episode exciting even with his taunting and creepiness. My favorite moment is his reaction to Naruko catching up. |

| As I said before, Midousuji lowkey respecting Naruko. Amazing final effort. Finally some Imaizumi action. That's a rematch I was looking forward to. And we even have a surprise guest, Arakita. |

| This episode really demonstrates the growth of this trio when faced with similar circumstances. As first years, they could only watch helplessly as Naruko burnt everything out to carry them to an undetermined destination. This time, however, they've built up a strong sense of trust & belief that embodies Sohoku's team spirit. Naruko saw his final goal through to the end and gave Dumbosuji one last run for his money. Their dynamic throughout New Generation was great since Naruko never once shied away from Midousuji's challenges. Even Imaizumi was still falling for mind games despite outgrowing his old grudge with Midousuji in the previous Inter-High. |

| Naruko is an absolute MVP of the second year inter high for me. During the first day he was neck in neck during the final finish. During the second day he was the only one riding alongside other riders from Sohoku and KyoFushimi. He was the only one who saw through the Midosouji's plan and stuck to him, getting in front of him, delaying him so his other teammates would catch up. During the third day he outsmarted Manami on a gamble where he won his team lead over Hakone. Then he overexerted himself to the point of temporary blindless, but still ended up pulling his team to catch up to Midosouji. He really outdid himself, not to mention that he threw away his favorite sprinter wheels to become an all-rounder. |
