Well, I've read Bleach manga and it's one of mah favs shōnen manga and I'm watching "Thousand Year Blood War" arc and it's super awesome, but the question is, "Why Bleach (2004) is the most dropped anime (203,000+ members who've dropped Bleach) I don't see any problem with anime adaption tho if we skip fillers that's quite good, I mean definitely not bad to be the most dropped anime.

Just wanna know your opinions on this! Plus, Sorry for my poor explanation.

Because the start is very slow and a big turn off for many people. I actually dropped it myself before deciding to give it another chance. Great decision on my part.

Fillers arcs inside Canon arcs is one of the worst things you can do, I love Bleach, but it's so difficult to recommend when people is not going to bother to look up what's filler and instead get interrupted during a fight with an arc that doesn't have anything to do with the story... The placement of Filler in this anime is horrible, Pierrot should do some kind of "Kai" re edit focusing on the canon episodes...

I liked the first season and the first couple volume. But this is just my opinion.

I think Bleach has lot of boring filler arc that's why so much people dropped the series.

Yeah, I understand you, but I can't write in English. Yeah, one of the most easiest language. But in exchange I can speak and write one of the most difficult: Hungarian :D - Akinek nem tetszik valami, elmehet Kukutyinba zabot hegyezni.

The reasons might be:
1) Slow ass pacing
2) Really boring fillers
3) Long battle shounen series might not be a thing for many.

I myself had dropped it once at around epi 11 and then picked it back up 2 months later, this time with 1.5x speed since I wanted to check out as to why is it considered as a part of the big 3 and the adaptation felt decent to me.

Also, the manga is much better than the anime for me. I enjoyed it more as compared to the anime.

I heard many people dropped due to the huge number of fillers, which is I'm sorry but pretty dumb. you can just skip them that's not a reason to drop, also in tybw there won't be fillers so if some people want to pick it back now's the time

I still haven't finished Bleach. Maybe if it wasn't such a boring drag most of the time, I would've finished it before college came like a truck.

Dropped it during the Bount filler arc. Never liked Ichigo and his crew. Probably would have dropped it earlier, but Soul Society is pretty cool, and I like most of the captains and lieutenants.

Boruto is catching up with a high speed. Just give it one more year to claim the first place. Both Anime have a lot Filler and that's why people drop them.

I dropped it once because I didn't want to skip ANY episodes. There are probably many similar cases to mine although I realized that that was a mistake.

There was always some weird bias against Bleach back then. Couple that with plenty of filler arcs and miniarcs and there you go.

In my opinion it’s a really good series but I completely understand why some stopped watching the original series.

For one and a major reason the fillers are painfully boring. Most fillers besides the Zanpakuto rebellion add nothing to the story and are pointless.

Another major reason is because the story wasn’t that great after Aizen’s defeat. I personally like the full bringer arc but it’s definitely a step down from every other arc leading up to Aizen’s defeat.

I personally think of you remove all the filler you have a very good shounen series with some likeable characters, a decent story, great art style, great fights and a great soundtrack in my opinion at least.

if you add naruto's drop count and naruto Shippuden's it will have more than bleach or one piece have more in on holds (if i remember correctly) and most people dont take it from on hold so it basically means drop.

probably filler placing if I had to guess. Putting filler arcs in the middle of canon arcs is super frustrating to the viewer, and it makes them not want to keep watching the show especially in the modern era when they could just go watch a show like AOT instead which is a show that's been amazing since season one and has no filler.

tbf all of Bleach's fillers can be skipped so fillers being the biggest reason as to why the show gets dropped by so many makes no sense to me. but even if fillers weren't skippable by some people for some unknown reasoning then by this logic Naruto would be dropped more than Bleach considering that Shippuden alone has more fillers than Bleach and including part one's fillers on top of this then Naruto has almost twice as much filler content as Bleach.

Maybe because of the filler episodes sprinkled into the anime.

I dropped bleach after the bount arc which is from episodes 64 - 109. Basically 45 episodes of all non-canon filler episodes.
Eventually, I would pick it back up again. But it was a chore to get through.

Doesn't help that the bount arc happens right after Soul Society arc (which was amazing btw). So having gone from greatness to a pile of crap made for terrible pacing. And it killed all the hype I had for the show lol.

I just finished Bleach and I can see why so many people might dropped it when it was aired. It's pacing, and overall it's writing absolutely terrible. Such a shame because the concept is almost perfect, and it has top tier characters as well. But unfortunately its lacked.

The writing sucked. Characters didn’t develop enough. It felt like the whole plot was just a bunch of boring fights with power up contests. Also only being in ichigos town, hueco mundo, and soul society can get pretty boring and repetitive. Honestly of it wasn’t one of the big 3 I wouldn’t have forced myself through it.

MAL has existed since the 2000s and Bleach in their database ever since, so all those drops accumulated over the years while Bleach was still airing. When realising this, it's not all too surprising that the anime has such a high drop count when you'd get 40-episode long filler arcs interrupting canon arcs (and sometimes just before a climactic highlight of the anime), thus destroying the anime's momentum and tarnishing the series' reputation. It doesn't help that the worst filler arc followed straight after the anime's best arc (and dullards who think the Bount arc is actually canon and believe Bleach fell off as a result) and that the Arrancar arc in the anime was already sluggish.

There are people in this thread who seem to be under the impression that it's the slow first arc, but that's a lie when the plot kicks off in 16 episodes with the arrival of Renji and Byakuya in Karakura Town and the Soul Society arc begins within 20 episodes (not 30 lmfao), which is standard classic shounen pacing meanwhile One Piece takes 200 episodes to get 'good'. I'd say the OG anime alone is a better adaptation than the other two 'Big 3' and that it generally has better fillers than Naruto, but in terms of the placement of those fillers, it's no doubt far worse.

And yeah, Naruto technically has a higher drop count indeed but it just doesn't show it thanks to the series being two separate titles.

Why exaggerate like that, lil' bro? Bleach's pacing is nowhere near as dogshit as One Piece's, which is notorious for having the worst pacing in all of fiction. Bleach and Naruto may have filler arcs, but at least all their canon, unskippable episodes aren't already pseudo-filler and the most egregious form of corporate milking there is in an anime right after the existence of Dragon Ball Super (which is funnily enough another Toei anime).

The reason are:

1) too much filler, especially when the 3rd story arc begins.

2) Sharp decline in quality after Soul Society arc.

3) pacing becomes like a slug moving through molasses.

That's your answer if you think a little. People don't skip fillers and thought it was part of the whole anime storyline!
