| Oh, maybe I'm just dumb. Last episode I was wondering about how Vueko & crew would interact with Riko & Crew, as I had assume the stories were taking place at the same time, but the vibe the OP gave me and upon reflection, it seems that Vueko's story might've/probably happened in the past. It seems like the implication is that those whatever those are were former cave raiders, so presumably the crew is within that group in this area, which is a more interesting way to go about this. Beyond me failing to pick up on context clues in the last episode, I loved this episode. Highlighting the exploration elements and survival skills necessary are likely the biggest joys this series provides, since the rest of the time it's trying to stomp your heart out. And I really love that Nat & crew aren't forgotten, and how their memory spurs on another mail balloon, it's genuinely heartwarming in a bittersweet way (Nanachi's casual "not like you'll ever see them again" stung), and tbh, got a big laugh out of it being snatched away by that bird thing. What follows after was very interesting too, the butt/hair thing was straight horror, and this "attack" the suffered felt pretty invasive. That combined with the ending cliffhanger has me really intrigued for how this arc is going to play out. |

| Well, the great adventure continues. This place is beautiful but at the same time scary, bubbles popping, strange monsters. I wanted to eat those eggs but I don't know if I could hold them in my stomach, they are very resistant. They made a balloon for nothing, well at least they can think of another plan. Reg was very attached to Nanachi, could it be fear... I didn't know there was a population of strange beings. |
