Well, they will probably adapt only the village arc and the hashira train arc and leave infinite castle for a whole new season.

Lol, isn't that a usual standard time gap between 2 seasons? What was the point of the post?

Quite obvious but alright.
I'm probably not gonna continue this anime after this season anyways.

Damn, How long do you think that'll be for next season? I did love this season buuuut for me I do not count the Mugen train "Arc" since they just redid the movie and I feel like 11 episodes caused pacing issues, at least for me. I absolutely loved the Mugen Train movie but since I already saw it the episodes did nothing for me. If they would have extended the fights or had more than a minute or whatever miniscule amount they added it would have been different.

So part of me really wishes future seasons were longer so it'd run less of a risk of pacing issues(although of course I know if done right then 11-12 would be fine) but then we wouldn't have the $80,000/per episode budget we got which made for some INSANE fight scenes. So it's like a double edged sword 😩. So I'd really love if next season was somewhere in the middle like 15-17 so we could get more time but not lose as much budget.

It's probably going to be from 15 to 20 (depends on how long they make the fights)

Nice 👍. I'm sure most were fine but I feel like because of how they did it the first few episodes (when I knew it was going to be 11 total) I was like get to something important please! And I feel like 99.99% of Demon Slayer fans saw the movie way before this season dropped, so it was like who is this for??

Sucks there's only 23 Volumes, but with how big it is I totally understand why they want to drag it out. Today's episode was great but I wish they showed some more to set up the future.

The budget is nothing but average at best, what made the animation good was the amount of time they had to make it. ufotable is known for finishing anime way ahead of schedule, so it wouldn't come as a surprise if it turns out this season had already been finished when it started airing since they quite literally showed scenes from episode 4 and 6 in the very first trailer they released back in January 2021.

Because it's not always a given, and even though it's a common gap, it's nice to have at least some information on it?

Honestly it’s fine. Let them take all the time they need. The next arc is more action heavy than RLD arc. Can’t wait to see it animated. Fall 2023 - Winter 2024 for the next season doesn’t seem too far off and we’ll have Jujutsu Kaisen, CSM and other bangers to eat up till then. I just hope it’s a 20 episode season with the next two arcs combined

Pre production? They'll definitely make it at the last minute as always. These 1.5 will be spend either reading the manga material thinking what to include or just generally wanking/working on something else.

have u wondered that ufotable doesn't just live off KnY?

they do other stuff as well. 1.5 years for a new season is more than reasonable, at least they can justify the 1.5 years instead of 1, unlike Boku no hero that does 1.5 years in between seasons and is just getting worse ever since lol

Ah ok but sure they only work on one anime at a time but they do tons of video game cut scenes, their main source of money might be demon slayer now because that's what's being released right now...

The next arc is MORE action heavy than this past one? That's hard to imagine considering the RLD arc was mostly one long fight. I just hope there's more developments and story at least since this past season was pretty light in the grand scheme of things.

you'll 100% see developments for certain characters next season. Tokitou being one and the other is a character people haven’t seen since S1. But yes Swordsmith village arc is more action heavy. It’ll start faster than than RLD and keeps going till the end. It was the first arc that hooked me from beginning to end while reading it whereas the others prior didn’t really do it till around the halfway point
