that felt like a troll opening, also personally the least good opening for AOT.

some sequences were nice but what in the flying f*ck were they thinking. The spoilers are so heavy and just, in your face, it's impossible to miss them.

I was laughing simply because I feel bad for the anime only's seeing that awful trash. The spoilers alone make the opening trash, as much as I love Eren, that was braindead.

Meh, tbh.
Better than the WAR animation, but WAR was a cooler song.

But both WAR and the Rumbling don't really compare to any opening before them.
Kind of underwhelming for it being the last OP.

Visuals tip top, but the song itself, yeah not a fan of metal-rock and not enough catchy lyrics & slow tempo, compare to previous Sasageyo, My War, Guren No Yumiya..Red Swan is better though..supposedly can be better like example Death Note OP 2 What's Up People..

If just listen the full song without visuals, definitely not hype to enjoy listen more..

It's not in the OP1, OP3 or OP5 class, but it's better than OP2.

I'm sure it'll grow on me, but it reminds me of a JJK OP. Just very anime generic. Even some of the CG of Eren walking during the OP smacks of JJK as well.

i love the way the characters were moving so realistically and slowly, it was really eerie.

glad this is an op i can actually properly sing along to haha, i always love heavy metal songs so i'm glad they took that route for this one. i was honestly expecting a slow song like red swan considering the heavy emotional parts coming up but i prefer this more.

so excited for the new episode to air today, this definitely gets me even more excited

Id say this opening is great, my only gripe is that i like my war better. Overall great job done by mappa and rip anime onlies. A solid 7/10 for the op for me. Anything else i could crique it on is maybe a better lead guitar as someone who listens to heavier music like this, but none the less the band had amazing vocals and bass. Hyped for the new season as a manga reader.

Animation/op isn't as good looking as it was in previous seasons (s01-3) irrespective of who animated it. From senseless i meant that theres no sense in English lyrics. I prefer japanese lyrics for an anime op. Anyway without linked horizon it just doesn't work. Not that its a big deal for me since I know about the dumpster fire thats about to be animated, since you used the word 'cry', but from your reply, it does seem like my opinion hit you right at the spot.

I agree with this. It's Metal, which is completely new for AOT openings. People are having a hard initial time to getting used to it. But eventually, people will vibe to it, just like they did with My War. It's an amazing song with amazing visuals.

When I heard about the band that was doing it, checked its other anime opening and yep... Pretty much like that so didn't have high expectations. But still compared to their other opening, they did this one better according to theme ( atleast efforts felt good at some points)

At first all the shouting of rumbling really started pissing me off because it was reminiscence of the previous opening with no audible lyrics just weird shouting nonsense justified to fit the tone of AoT and it was basically emphasizing too much that it will happen. After getting pass that point it was actually pretty good, the visual is also nice and after listening to it 3 times I've come to like the song as a whole.

Good song, little disappointed we didn't get a Linked Horizon OP for this season but cool with what we got. They did a complete 180 from part 1's opening, where that had very abstract animation and the lyrics were sort of gibberish, this is just flat-out telling you where everything is going. On one hand, not a fan of the spoilers, but on the other, it's got good visuals even if they're about as unsubtle as a word-for-word synopsis of the rumbling arc.
