| Idk about you, but I'm the type of person who prefers Female over Male Protagonist. It's quite simple. Once you have a taste of it, you can't go back. It's like when you're a guy who started out playing male avatars and later swapped to female avatars; you can't go back to male avatars anymore because it's better to stare at a female than a male all day :3. Maybe that's why I like CGDCT, but I digress. Anyways, which do you prefer? |

| Either gender is fine though I generally favor male protags since 1. They are more relatable 2. Have real conflicts unlike femCs most of the time. Men are forced to make something of themselves in anime while females can just ride on the pursuit of successful dudes or just be treated like angels being cute. Some exceptions exist like Emi Yusa. |

| I think whether the author is male or female influences more the writing than the gender of the MC itself. I tend to relate to a male perspective more for obvious reasons, but regardless, I'll like either if it's compelling enough. |

| If a character is intersting or compelling, they can literally be a walrus, like in Odd Taxi. It really doesn't matter. Looking through my favourite anime they're usually male, with some exceptions. |
