| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- We're back with Part 2, continuing the events of Season 1 (with quite the lengthy recap lest we forgot what happened). NEWS's 2nd OP is fine, though I'd prefer Season 1 2nd Cour's. Little Glee Monster's ED is good, better than Season 1's EDs. We are left off with Sesshomaru bestowing Tenseiga to Towa, to revive Setsuna. And given her ability to wield broken weapons, Tenseiga should be no cake, but time will only tell if she's capable of using Tenseiga from the get-go, much less be overwhelmed by demons that can only be seen by the wielder. One thing's clear that to use Tenseiga, one has to be like Sesshomaru: pure conviction and no hesitation, and this is a test for Towa. But at least for a father's negligence of a job, he did the one most important thing: revive Setsuna, and at least's he's a bit more tolerable of both his daughters, Hello Totosai and Jaken again, and Moroha is still that joker of a demon slayer. But still, Totosai knows the dangers of Tenseiga, and even fixes Setsuna's Blood Blade on the fly while Moroha does the protection part. Arguaby, Totosai is the most important link to moving the trio of daughters along in the quest to defeat Kirinmaru. A decent continuation, and I'm desperately looking to see the improvements in this sequel, that's for sure. |

| So after a quick recall of the first season's events, we are back to the main point. Honestly, this was mostly what I expected after judging the way it ended. Towa has this power of being able to use broken weapons, so fair enough giving her the chance of using Tenseiga to revive Setsuna. But in the end, it will be back to Sesshoumaru it seems. Speaking of which, I always loved how his character works. He is mostly silent and express himself mostly through his actions. The way he lays Towa down after she faints and gently touch his daughters faces, a lot of meaning without a single word, specially if you consider how he used to be back when it all started. For a second I thought he would be the one eliminating all the spirits, but I'm actually glad I was wrong. Let's hope new powers will give Setsuna more chances to shine. She was my favorite character from all the new ones but was probably the weakest one. What Totosai says at the end makes me remember that the almost the entire Inuyasha story developed around him getting Tessaiga strong enough to kill Naraku. So it will make sense if we end up having an arc about Towa looking for a weapon that actually fits her powers. Guess this time they will fix the pacing problem the first season had and, unless they have a lot planned for this, it might be the final season. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if a third season was announced at the end, which would make me really happy since I'm enjoying from the very start. Not to mention there are actually a quite lot of undeveloped plots, so if they want to take it slow it shouldn't be a problem to make this show go even further. Just hoping everyone that was crying all around during first season are not wasting their time watching this one. Well, if you want to keep watching, you are free to do it though. Hope you enjoy it this time. Edit: Fun to see that the first comment right after mine was exactly what was I hoping NOT to see. Oh well, guess different from the first season, this time I'll just avoid commenting or looking at the forum for this show. |

| Wow just finished watching Ep 1. First things first The OP is alright not as impressive as Season 1's OP1 and OP2. The recap more or less took 7 minutes of ep but still it was nice just wish it was a little shorter. The rest of the episode was awesome. All the girls were given good screentime. Towa with Tensaiga and getting the crescent on her head and Moroha using her Reiki to annihilate the lower level demons before running out of arrows. I just wish she used Crimson Dragon wave but then again she is very exhausted so probably has no youki to spare. Finally Setsuna waking up and just wow! That was amazing and Sesshomaru holding his daughters' faces. Awwwww I am glad to see Totosai and Jaken and also love how Moroha immediately called Jaken "Sho yokai" That was perfect ha ha All in all a Solid First EP! |

| Half of this first episode was recap, but the second half we got new content. Sesshomaru being a good father, Setsuna getting some spotlight, and even a Master Jakken appearance. I'm excited for this season to see where the trio's journey leads to. Also OP and ED slap. |

| The new OP and ED BANG. It’s been what seems like forever since we last saw the girls and even tho people didn’t like the first season, I loved it. I’m really excited to see where they go with things this season. Our first order of business seems to be to get Towa a new sword that actually can use her powers to their fullest Despite how cold he was before it’s clear Sesshomaru really loves and cares for his daughters. Loved seeing him stick by them today |

| Recap wasn't too long so no big deal. I enjoyed this episode more than most of season 1 so we're off to a good start. Hopefully it will get a lot better than season 1, which only barely managed to get a 6 from me. A shame that it seems they'll be sticking with Moroha getting bullied constantly and being low tier comic relief. She deserves better. |

| Good start! Loved the op and ed. Sesshomaru openly acting like a parent, it was heartwarming! I hope they do things differently in the new season. Instead of pointless random demon hunting i think they should bring in the original characters and mysteries early on. |
| Yashahime is finally back! I'm glad Towa was saved right off the bat. Sesshoumaru continues being great. The new OP/ED were both nice, specially the ED visuals were really good. |

| Apart from that needless recap it was a pretty good episode to start off the second season imo. New opening is not as good as the old ones but maybe it will grow on me. Hopefully half the season won't be wasted on fillers again. This is a pretty good setup they have for story now and it would suck if they killed the flow. We have so many stuff to look forward to, Towa getting a new sword, Setsuna mastering her new naginata, seeing what Riku and Zero will do, Rin's stuff being explained, potentially doing something with Inuyasha and Kagome's situation. Please don't fuck it up. lol |
| Everything with Setsuna and Sesshomaru was great, but I hope the rest of the season rises above Towa just standing around yelling Setsuna's name. I feel like from the last season, Towa had the least amount character development and is the most flawed of the girls. Towa seems to have this thing that she expects the world and everyone in it to share the same feelings and thoughts as her, therefore lacks the ambition she needs to overcome obstacles that she either takes too lightly or is oblivious to. Last season was pretty much saved by the finale, so I hope this season isn't so all over the place and really contributes time to giving the girls good stories, so we're not just heavily focused on the aftermath of Inuyasha. |

| SETSUNAAA!!! Setsuna ? Setsuna Setsuna Feels like that was 75% of the dialogue to be honest. Neverethless, a solid start to the season. It was nice to see Totosai again and he gives Setsuna a nice new shiny Nagita and their next quest. Felt like him ignoring Moroha when she asked him for a weapon was deliberate, maybe a possible reference to a Tessaiga-ish weapon being left for Moroha ? Or maybe I'm reading in to it way too much. | Honestly thought they were going to keep Setsuna dead longer but I guess you can't undo death so easily so they had to save her within that 1 hour window. But man they really wanted us to listen to Towa screaming SETSUNA for half the episode first. Was nice to see a rare moment of affection from Sesshomaru towards his daughters. |
| I don't hate Setsuna, but the plot would've been better if she remained dead. That would've given Towa reason to hunt down and kill Kirinmaru. |
| Nice OP. Even better ED. Love the aesthetic. Little Glee Monster is the best! "Second Act" implies the existence of a third or final act. Since Inuyasha's last season was called Final Act I thought Yashahime would get a Final Act too. So when I discovered that Second Act was actually the last season of Yashahime, I was disappointed a bit tbh. But after finishing Season 1, this might actually be a good thing lol. The animation seems to be a lot better in the first episode of Season 2. Hope they keep this up. I was wrong about Moroha. Towa is the most annoying character in this show. She was actually pretty interesting when she was introduced in episode 2 of Season 1 though. What happened? It was pretty obvious that Setsuna was gonna be revived in one way or another. Otherwise, the main character count would go from 3 to 2. |
| I have so many questions. Why is Towa able to use Tenseiga by putting energy into it but Sesshomaru doesn't? How is Totosai able to craft a "blade that cuts what can't be cut" in just a matter of minutes? Why did literally thousands of demons swarm when realistically the local density of demons is probably nowhere near that high? Why didn't Setsuna have any reaction at all at being brought back to life? It's so unbelievable it's freaking rediculous. I'm trying not to be so analytical but damn... this show is ridiculous |

| The way Sesshomaru holds his daughters' faces. Says everything that could possibly be said without words. His way of parenting is quite unique. "You will figure everything out on your own but if things get too out of line, I will step in." The ED is so pretty. |
