The government really can't be trusted in this show...

Yuito's team got lucky that they made out that mess alive. We also got revelation about Naomi's turn to the Other (rather than being killed), which imo is worse fate thn death. The info dump about the hospital experimentations sounded important though.

Yet another depressed almost lost to the side of the Others, but Nagi is different and partially in control. Yet he resigned to the "personality rehabilitation, metamorphosis" fate to save Yuito and the rest learning the hospital's secrets that are just too dangerous since Naomi's brainwashing into an Other. Quite an infodump on that.

Kasane's side is ready to get Naomi back from Seiran's clutches, but what they saw of Naomi's transformed Other state...she's become unrecognizable while her soul still lingers. No choice, using the ampules as a tranquilizer, and Karen has more secrets than Kasane's team have hoped for.

The ampules from the hospital are a lethal tool to all, but how the factions plan to use them (as seen by Major General Karen) is another thing.

I've been repeating it all series, but I'd let Nagi die... (¬ . ¬ )

Eghh, it's all very dark now, so everyone in the government knew about the Others experiments, even Yuito's father ._.

It's painful, someone you love so much, to see it in this unrecognisable form, personally, I wouldn't stand for it

Pretty depressing episode.

The government is a real bitch. Poor Nagi and Naomi.

How many episodes are planned?

I thought around 13, but the story goes slowly and there is a lot events ahead. Not sure if it will be enough for 24 standard, but more than for 13 eps. If they will not cut and merge some events.

Well, they finally learnt the truth about the hospitals and what the govnerment is doing in secet. Yuito still wants to save Nagi but does he have the power to do it. Not yet..
And we finally saw Naomi again. Well, not in a human form but in the Other form. Looks like they need to find a way to transform her back into a human.

Maybe it is just me, but the whole time travel thing is giving me "Revisions (2018)" vibes.

The characters who had died or disappeared appeared in the episode and the show is being mysterious in relation to the government itself that seems to be the villain in all of this.

the story is fine, it's actually pretty interesting
but the execution is awful. This is why I hate video game adaptations. The cheaper the medium the worse they get. This episode had scenes that literally felt like videogame cutscenes.

I see some another conspiracy within Fubuki and Yuito's brother talk. Idk.

Nagi looks so cool on these episode, protecting them all to escape, while letting himself abducted again by those shitty researcher. I am feeling he will become the last nasty other boss at the end. The rescue mission completely failed, but at least they are know figuring out the government secret before its more too late for them. Meanwhile, Kasane side also got the exact same situations too. Poor Naomi, being involved with those messed up things around Kasane-Yuito disturbance and trapped inside that nasty Other form. Everyone being used, same with their situations. Yeah. Mister perfection, out of nowhere Karen arrived while holding the ampule to make Naomi other form relax. Is that good? Ofc its ended up in a cliffhanger. Because why not? No, Yuito, don't use that shit!

So....the Gov't turned Naomi into a large flower arrangement. Kasane has joined forces against the Gov't because she is mad. The very same Gov't turned Nagi into a lab rat. MC still works for that Gov't but he is all sneaky traitor and he is mad. Why are the two main bozos not on the same side? MC dad was the big boss of the Gov't and needed to die anyway. MC should give Kasane a medal. But nope .....he is just going to be a sneaky traitor.....behind the scenes...shhhhh. Be very quiet....MC is undercover. /facepalm

I agree, now that more is coming out in terms of story information, it is piecing together nicely.

The pacing however is fucking atrocious.

For those of you who want to know how far along I am, I've played both Scarlet Nexus routes, and I've watched 9 episodes so far.

This episode truly broke my heart in the best way possible. It really releases all that desperation, terror and horror that the videogame's dialogue couldn't. I love the way it incorporated both Yuito and Kasane's routes.

This shouldn't be a spoiler, since this is a discussion about the episode, and maybe this is just speculation, but:

The part where Kasane finally finds Naomi and she walks into the room; it mirrors the ending credit theme. In the credits, Kasane's heading down a stretch of sand; she starts out walking, then she speeds up into a run, but it never shows what she's running toward. In this episode she does the same thing - she walks, then she speeds up, and then she's running toward Naomi, wanting so badly to reunite with her beloved sister.
And the fact that this takes place in the Other Research Facility, a place I have a love-hate relationship with, takes it to a whole new level for me, since this was such a nightmarish maze to for me to play through with the whole key card mess and the horrific boss fight (the lucky anime characters got to retreat).

The emotions are too much, I swear! It may be a dark episode, but this might just be one of my favorite episodes - it just made that particular scene that much more real for me.

Poor Naomi and Nagi...
Who's who in this story? The proposal is quite interesting.
Besides... what's in that blister? I need information now!

No retrieving key cards & skipping the most annoying boss? They've really got it made in this anime!

Glad Nagi got some time to shine. The game had more time to showcase his charm early on (other than just fawning over Naomi), so showing how determined he was made up for that.
