| in no particular order: 1. drum island arc (a.k.a chopper's arc. just looking at the manga cover kills me. that arc fked me up, so dayum sad. tbh basically every one piece arc i've watched is good. oda is amazing and one of a kind.) 2. chuunin exam arc (not boruto's, just specifying) 3. york shin arc (phantom troupe. peak arc for them right here, and i'd love it if they just focused on the phantom troupe in a spinoff where they're the main characters instead of gon, killua, kurapika, and leorio but obviously that's never gonna happen lol) 4. arrancar arc/hueco mundo arc (pretty sure this was the most popular and longest arc in bleach too. despite that, i still think we really didn't get to see enough of all the espadas 5. chimera ant arc (i wasn't going to include another hxh arc in here, but then i tried to take myself back to when i was watching this arc. which somehow, luckily i do remember, which i owe to hxh being unexpectedly such a great anime. i tried hard not to watch the episodes so fast once i got to this arc, as i knew from people that togashi had just come out of a long hiatus recently (i watched hxh in 2014, that summer). it made me realize the man can take super long hiatuses and there'd likely be only a miniscule amount of material left once i finished the 2011 adaptation. that was futile. i loved how dark this arc was and then before you knew it, the arc was over. the only thing i didn't like was gon's pledge. that's just depressing and neferpitou was not worth it man) |
