when will black clover get good?

so i am currently on episode 24 of black clover and it is, how should i say it, hard to watch. the story didn't really catch me till now and the animation is, to put it nicely, not the best. but i heard that it will supposedly get good, but when exactly does it get good?

It gets good when the actual storyline and main plot is revealed and each episode is more connected, around episode 50 or so. I’m on episode 99 right now and have started to enjoy it a lot more.

There are a few major fights in the 40-60 episode range but Asta doesn’t do anything super significant without help until episode 63 when he gets his powers

It ain’t for everyone dawg I know the story is kinda mediocre it’s just a fun light hearted anime with some awesome characters it’s not trying to be some amazing series just try to have fun wit it

Around episode 30, if you aren’t liking it by episode 50 I’d say it’s pretty safe to drop. All preference, but around episode 30 it gets better. I enjoyed every episode of the show, but the fights, character development, animation, and plot all get much better here very soon.

It’s veryyyyyyyy slow going. Around episode 110 there is a battle that is literally 12 episodes(which says a lot)…. They love to draggg it out. Which is a pro and con because the story gets thicker and the character development is grate but my god does it drag out a lot of the times.what could and should be summed up in 2 or 3 episodes tops, takes them 6. I stopped watching around 148. Story got really slow at that point for me.

I thought it was good from start to finish, nothing bad about the anime at all, but I’d say when we get to that one part where asta defends noelle and the eye first attacks because rhat just sets up everything to come ya know.

That all depends on your tastes. Maybe episode 30, maybe episode 50, or 70, or 90, or 100, or maybe it just never gets good for you. Who knows.

If you are at ep 24 you have already past the worst part of series. Imo it gets good from e33. And trust me if you finish it you wont be disspointed it gets better and better.

If ur into manga. READ IT I IMPLORE YOU. outstanding art work and paneling which compensated for the inconsistent and down right shit tier animation and art. The pacing Is and movement of the narrative is much faster etc etc.. the story improves on ressurection, although before that, there are moments you will for sure love.

Makes sense you find it slow since you're watching a filler arc. you should have stop at ep. 130 then head straight to 158. also you missed a big fight in 151,

for me: the grimoire selection ceremony in episode 1

asta doesn't get one and looks like a fool. he leaves dejected, ready to give up on his dream. yuno is accosted by those "elitists" who look down upon orphans/the poor/etc., before humiliating them. then the chain bad guy shows up and tries to steal yuno's grimoire. asta comes to help yuno before being thoroughly defeated. at which point his 5-leaf clover grimoire suddenly appears and the INSANELY awesomeness that is Black Clover begins (a dark, mysterious, shadowy devil figure in the background, a massive sword of unknown origin, the whole "clover leaves represent faith, hope, and love. within the 4th leaf dwells good luck. in the 5th leaf resides the devil." ermahgerd)

now, i totally understand why the next ~10 episodes aren't the greatest in people's eyes. there's filler and filler-like episodes and content. i get why a lot of people say it starts slow

also, while i agree the animation is "not the best", i absolutely think the poor animation quality is overblown. but to each their own. i personally care much more about the characters and the story than the animation. but again, i understand everyone has their own preferences and personal taste

next i would say the show picks up a little steam around episode 21, during the royal capital attack arc. but you're already to episode 24. so next i'd say the latter part of the royal capital arc where the wizard king makes an appearance. if that doesn't do it for you then the next episode/arc you might be interested in probably won't be until episode 30 with the nairn village arc. it has a quality fight at the end of it

if you don't like that, then maybe the next arc. honestly, each arc gets a little better. they build on each other. the story becomes a little more epic. the powers become a little more OP/power upped. the plot begins to tie in together better. etc. but you have to like the show enough to keep watching in order to get to the next episode/next arc

i can't in good conscience tell you to keep watching a show you don't like *shrug*

will you enjoy BC if you keep watching it? yea, probably. most people do. but it's impossible to say that you specifically will definitely like it
