| WHAT??? This is so sudden that I'm still having trouble registering it. I just got around reading Berserk and this is just, so sudden. No notice about his illness, condition or anything prior. It's also stated in the post that he died on May 6th so we're basically getting the news 2 weeks after he actually died.... My deepest sympathies to his family. May his soul rest in peace. Thank you for everything you did for the industry. |

| I'm so unbelievably sad, Berserk was hands down my favorite manga and anime by a mile, and while I wasn't caught up with the manga, I really would have love to known how it was all going to come down. |

| Just got word of this a short time ago and still rather shocked to hear of this. While I don't actively follow manga, I still occasionally got back into Berserk on and off to see where recent chapters of the series were at with the story and now a shame we will likely never get an ending to it with Miura's passing. RIP. Definitely among the greats for manga creators. |
| God I'm so gutted to hear this even without reading the series, he was a legend that made one of the most influental pieces of media in the past few decades to the point where its bled out into other culture's media and mediums and so on. Its awful that fans will never get to see this story to the end. People joked but I do think alot of people were also floating it as a legit possibility, not to take spotlight off of the subject at hand but people say the same for Hunter x Hunter or World Trigger's authors and I think in both of those cases its scarily possible given both of their tendencies for hiatus and health problems. |
