It's hard to win an argument against smart people, but impossible to win an argument against dumb ones.

Depends on what they like.

I got my husband to watch FMA:B as his first real anime experience. He liked it well enough.

i feel as if aot and deathnote could be a little to much for some people. but for fmab it has decent length, good dub and a mixture of comedy and action

I recommend AOT to watch after watching some animes, cuz if after watching AOT maybe he or she may or may not like other anime that much. So I recommend to a beginner to start by Parasyte-The Maxim, sometimes people don't want to watch anime cuz it's series and they want movies, then I would recommend Your Name and The Silent Voice.

I recommend good anime series to be watched later.

Cowboy Bebop is the clear winner here, it's a great introduction to anime, one that just about anyone can enjoy.
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

I think a beginner should start from Fairy tail or naruto.

I think MHA would be the best show because it has good animation and easy to Understand story

Absolutely not. They are long and can become a chore to watch as well as misrepresent the medium. Rather stick to something shorter and let them introduce themselves to longer shows.

At least Death Note and FMAB are great choices. Death note was the second anime I watched (first I finished) and FMAB was maybe... 5th? And I'm still here.

i think aot would be a little much for someone’s first ever anime, plus it hasn’t been adapted to the end yet. i would always recommend death note as a starting anime, it was the second one i ever watched too :’))

For the most part, Cowboy Bebop or A Silent Voice. Those two shows nearly fill up every genre possible so if they wouldn't like either of the two, I'd give up hope.

Has a 8.60 mean score

I think it is better to introduce people to more serious anime first Death Note is a better choice than any in that sense becuse it grips you since the first episode unike FMAB which picks up at 'Death of the undying'. Also death Note's dub is in par with the sub.

Depend for the person you want to recommended. Yes in your poll is great for teenager and adult male, but how about female or kids who want to watch anime? I think the "beginner" means is anime for anyone across genders and age. So what the best for it? Himouto! Umaru-chan is the answer. It's work for me, my family and my friends like that anime and some of them starting to watch other anime that you have polled about.

AoT is a double edged sword. In 1 way it is a great intro, but in the other way... it will set the quality bar so effing high that future experiences are affected and ruined by AoT.
When will Black Clover release new anime?! It has been 3 years already since March 2021...

Since Pokémon is the most popular franchise in the world there's an above-average chance that they already like the Pokémon series, so I'd say Pokémon Indigo League would be a safe bet for most people?
Not sure, but statistically, aren't there nearly as many Pokémon fans as there are non-Pokémon fans? (The series I mean. Not specifically the anime) Don't quote me on that since I'm terrible with statistics and could be completely wrong, lol

If they don't like Pokémon, I'd say maybe Nichijou? Not too hard to understand if you don't know much about Japanese culture, not too offensive or "edgy", just good fun.

If they do like "edgy", offensive or hyper-violent stuff, I'd definitely say JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

I'd actually say Saiki K.

Weird choice, I know, but hear me out.
Saiki does a great job of parodying so many common anime tropes, and yet is still enjoyable to someone who doesn't get those jokes. So then the watcher is familiarized with the common tropes AND gets quality entertainment!

It was the first one I watched, and I think it's a great gateway show.

Agreed, Pokemon is definitely a good starting point.

Mmmm... I going to give you non-answer in that if you are asking what anime YOU should watch, then you already have your answers.

However, if you are thinking about introducing anime to SOMEONE ELSE, say friend, sibling, lover, etc. and you haven't watched much anime yourself, I would suggest watching either one of your favorites so far, or the next anime on your watchlist together. That way you can share the experience and if neither of you has seen it before, even better.
That's how me, my brother, and my cousin all got into anime, together. We just kept recommending random shows to each other that we'd found and watched alone and then we would watch some other anime together.
After all watching anime, much like watching movies and live-action TV shows, might be even easier to get into if you have company to watch with and share the experience.

So don't get stuck on choosing the perfect introductory anime, but rather just pick some you enjoyed so you can both share the experience and have fun together.

If you are more experienced with anime, you will know what to introduce without needing to ask others.

MHA or Violet Evergarden

MHA is ridiculously popular right now and for good reason. Violet Evergarden however is a much more serious and "adult" style anime. I would say either of these are perfect- just pick the one that best suits your audience.

Death Note is perhaps the best. Of course, everyone's taste is different, but you are almost guaranteed to like at least a few things about Death Note, no matter what your preferences are. Besides that, there are Koe no Katachi, Kimi no Na wa, and other good mainstream stuff.
