The 86 (Eighty Six) stage at the Light Novel Expo event unveiled supporting cast, staff, a second promo and key visual (pictured) for the anime series on Saturday. The television anime adapting Asato Asato's sci-fi action light novel will begin airing on April 11 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11, followed by CTV and Yomiuri TV. AbemaTV will also stream the anime.

Toshiya Oono (Yakusoku no Neverland) is handling the series composition, and Tetsuya Kawakami (Gakusen Toshi Asterisk) is serving as both the character designer and chief animation director. Kohta Yamamoto (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season) and Hiroyuki Sawano (Aldnoah.Zero) are composing the music. Shirogumi (Etotama) is in charge of the CG production.
Dengeki Bunko began printing the military-themed novel series in February 2017. The beginning section of each volume and side stories are serialized in Dengeki Bunko Magazine. The imprint also publishes the side stories on the Kakuyomu website. Shirabi (Musaigen no Phantom World, Ryuuou no Oshigoto!) is drawing the illustrations, with I-IV (Aldnoah.Zero, Re:Creators) credited for mechanical design. Kadokawa published the ninth volume on February 10. The light novel series has a cumulative 1 million copies in circulation.
Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in July 2018 and published the sixth volume on November 17 last year. The seventh volume is scheduled for a March 30 release.
Looks great. Probably my most anticipated show this season along with To Your Eternity and Joran. We need more military war dramas and mecha as well in the medium.
