| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I was very impressed and surprised with this episode. It didn't have the rushed feel of many of the other Crunchyroll Originals and it actually paced the episode rather nicely. That being said, you definitely need to watch the prequel episode https://myanimelist.net/anime/32668/Noblesse__Awakening before watching this show. It is a direct continuation and you may be confused if you don't watch it. Additionally, you should watch that shows prequel https://myanimelist.net/anime/32566/Noblesse__Pamyeol-ui_Sijak if you have the time, but it isn't as immediately necessary for this season, but I do recommend it as both of them are rather good.' M-21 was interesting to watch, considering what he did in the prequel, because his development as a character really shines through. The same can't be said though about the main characters seeing as they didn't much that much screen-time, which is another reason that you should watch the prequel episode, which is also on Crunchyroll. The OP was pretty good and all of the production values were decent. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either. A very decent episode that shows a lot of promise. Edit: It has come to my attention that the prequel of the prequel of this show, https://myanimelist.net/anime/32566/Noblesse__Pamyeol-ui_Sijak, might spoil stuff later down the road which might have been better appreciated if you went in blind. If that is true, then I am sorry for suggesting it. Users who read the source material may be able to explain more if one should or shouldn't watch it. But definitely watch https://myanimelist.net/anime/32668/Noblesse__Awakening beforehand. |

| Smart move from who ever decided to skip the prologue and start after the awakening chapter. Since they only had 13 episodes to work with and had to adapt till Lukedonia arc this move's gonna save this anime by a lot. Atleast this won't become a mess like GOH adaptation. So kinda hopefull but still my expectations low. That said glad to finally watch a proper anime of the first Webtoon/Manwha I ever read. Makes me nostalgic a lot. Btw go and watch the OVA as @anime-prime already mentioned. |

| That was God Awful imo. Just nothing about it was good. Even the fight scenes were mediocre. Seems like the story will be Union trying to Kill master. Nothing special. |

| I really like the art style and the colors they used. I didn't like the op and the ed wasn't that good either. We didn't see everything that this show has to offer but it definetly has potential. Looking forward to next episodes. |

| They say that the third time's the charm, but so far, that's not looking like it. This episode was overall pretty bland, some action scenes and school scenes, it feels like nothing is accomplished. Hoping that this doesn't shit the bed like the other two webtoon adaptations. |

The other, not a requirement but definitely advised. There are both only between 30-40 minutes long though, so it won't take up too much time. |

| Tho my expectation is still low. But I am still very impressed by this first episode, what a great start. I like how they keep the pace steady so far by provided us a prequel. And it's a very essential episode for us to watch. Hope they keep it like this. The audio background is beautiful and The animation is top-notch in this episode. MY FAVORITE PART IS THE TRANSITION SCENE. THE LOGO LOOKS SICK. P.S: Also Rai looks so hot. omg, just look at this |

| reason it was so highly regarded was because it was a highly female audience, now that its in anime form and not a webtoon us guys are seeing it for the first time and it's completely mediocre. It's literally a C tier grade shounen with shoujo art style for the male characters. The whole time the webtoon was propped on the backs on fanfictions and gay pairings much like the korean pop industry in the US. |

| Pretty cool first episode, great art/animation and M-21 gets a decent amount of development from the OVA making that pretty necessary viewing to understand what’s going on here. This may be the best Crunchyroll original adaptation in terms of pacing. Everything feels like it’s flowing well. The OP and ED are bops too. |

| The constant shift in tone is so ......awkward. I found the comedy quite out of place. And oh wow the OP is sung by Jaejoong! That’s a name I haven’t seen in a while. On 2nd thought I think I’ll enjoy the webtoon more than this anime. The character designs itself are throwing me off. Shinwoo looks like a completely different person. |

| Wonder how this will turn out, considering they changed the whole scene with the car comming on the campus, which also was used to introduce one of the characters which then did not appear, not an important character, but more on the premise they changed it from the get go. |
| Now this is how you adapt a manhwa. No rush and calm before the storm. It's good to see the cast back with Raizel and his adventures into midgard. Can't wait to see the nobles in action. Seira at the end was cool. Now we wait for Raskeria. Also Hyde did that OP collab which was so cool. |

While the pacing doesn't feel as horrendous as The God of High School and shows signs of normality, it's less entertaining/interesting overall, and the cast here still fails to shine for me. Tone shifts were not good too and Production IG's visuals look a bit cheap and underwhelming for their standards without much that stands out about it. |

| Noblesse oh Noblesse, being the third WEBTOON adaptation ever made and I'm pretty bored. This anime does not intrigue me in any way nor do I find it interesting. I'm hoping the show will pick up. |

I'd suggest it, to get the proper introduction to a lot of the main cast you will see for these episodes and a basic introduction to the franchise itself. |
| Even having seen the OVAs, this was underwhelming as shit. At least it didn’t feel rushed, but it does feel like lots of stuff was notably cut or compressed. Not sure why it’s a rigged necessity to watch the OVAs to begin with. |

| This actually was kinda boring imo, and I definitely enjoyed the first episode of GOH more. I’m assuming Raizel will actually do something after this because he seemed like a bland character in this episode. Obviously it’s only 1 episode and I’ll watch the prequel to get a better understanding of the series. |
| I wish they could start from the beginning as the OVA was released years ago. Also seem like there is no Yuna in this adaptation. I wanted to see Rai vs door so bad :( |

| A very nice beginning. Nothing too special production-wise. I recommend everyone watch the prequel episode, Nobelesse: Awakening, before you start this season. It will give you a much better understanding and footing for this first episode. I loved the OP and ED songs. Really catchy. Raizel is learning more things about this world and got a smartphone! That team that came to Japan is the immediate threat and one could assume we're going to see more action in the next couple of episodes. Excited to see where it goes from here! |

| It seems like this episode picks up where Noblesse: Awakening left off in which Shin-Woo Han and his friends had their memories of being attacked by the Union erased. M-21 has decided to join Raizel's team and work as a security guard at the school. At the same time, The Union has made their way to Japan to conduct an investigation and track down Noblesse. The Noblesse series seems interesting and having Noblesse: Awakening serve as a prequel was a great way to establish the main characters and reveal some of the story's plot. I just hope its not rushed compared to ToG and GoH. |
