Noblesse

The "Noblesse" Cadis Etrama di Raizel, also known as "Rai," is enrolled in Ye Ran High School by his servant Frankenstein to stay hidden from the sights of the Union, a mysterious organization out for Rai's blood. Rai commences his life as a student, making himself familiar with his classmates and the daily activities of humans. However, his new life is far from peaceful, and Rai is soon forced to save his new friends from the hands of the Union that had abducted them.

Meanwhile, M-21—a Union agent gone rogue during Rai's rescue operation—joins the Ye Ran High School security staff after a proposition by the school's director, who happens to be none other than Frankenstein himself. On the surface, M-21 is a prim and proper employee, but in truth he is shackled by his former ties to the Union and the inevitable consequences of betraying the organization.

To further complicate matters, Nobles Regis K. Landegre and Seira J. Loyard enroll in the same school to investigate the Noblesse. While the Union conducts a manhunt for M-21 to extract clues regarding their missing agents, Rai is forced to keep his identity hidden while protecting all that he holds dear.

Late review, but the show adaption of Noblesse was just a fad. It was cool for a short time like a fidget spinner, but soon to be forgotten quite quick.

While I did watch the OVA, usually you aren't suppose to hold them in account for watching..shows?

To be blunt, this show wasn't that good and was severly lacking from original reading material. There are a lot of issues which have been discussed already, but my concerns lie around the pacing and setting. A lot of watchers were distraught as the story was not explained properly? Plus the show itself was heavily dependent on people somehow watching ... the OVA or reading the source material. It's a common flaw in Manhwa where authors expect you to just "accept" what's happening without asking questions of the ridiculous events.

I won't be too hard on the show, it did open the door for more Korean show adaptions.

Mixed Feelings

This is a masterpiece. It brings back memories of a time I had forgotten, and I still cannot really remember but I can recall those feelings. The nostalgia hits so hard, when I first saw this, I thought it was a maybe 2005. You got to watch it on YT with the amazing video quality of 480p, if your really want to put it at 240p why not, and just enjoy. And somehow it hits everything just right, and what's crazy is that some of it might have been done intentionally. Sometimes I think its aware of what its doing, which actually detracts a little ... bit from the experience for me, but not enough to make this anything less than a 10/10. One thing I don't remember is if it had the obligatory beach episode, I feel like it must have, its that show, but I just don't remember. This is better than Dark Cat. If nothing is really doing it for you anymore, its all just spectacle with no soul, this is so refreshing, not saying this has soul, it does however have something the new stuff with their amazingly animated fights are lacking, but I couldn't tell you what that is. If I had to say what this reminds me of by just throwing out first things that pop into my mind, I think it would be like Fumoffu / Black Butler / Bleach / Darker than Black, kind of feels like a mix of those and more. Oh yeah, I do not even know if what I watched had the first few episodes, it feels like your thrust right into the second season, maybe I was I don't know, and that just made it better.

Honestly, it felt lackluster. A lot of characters that really didn't do much to advance the plot and got lost altogether near the end, quite a few unresolved plot lines, a lack of an actual motivation behind the main plot line.

The show was devoid of any character development, aside from one or two characters that didn't actually develop, but rather had flashbacks to previous experiences. A lack of motivation regarding MC's relationship to his companion (we got some, but it was highly stripped and bare). Could have left out a lot of filler to actually deliver some semblance of meaning behind a lot of the ... plot.

It's okay if you're bored out of your mind and want to watch something for the sake of watching something, but there are plenty of other shows which seem to pack a lot more punch and deliver on intriguing story lines.
