Who could have expected Kashin Koji to be connected to Jiraya... except everybody. But now that we know he's a clone I wonder if there are other clones. Delta, perhaps? I did think there were subtle moments that made it seems like Amado has a connection with her.

Speaking of Amado, I love the change he's brought to the series. Most of these last chapters have just been him talking & giving exposition. But the refreshing new tone he brings by being a potential threat even as a refugee with minimal fighting potential is fantastic.

Now with the feed cut-off I'm expecting the next chapter to wrap up the fight and start planning how to finish off Isshiki

Like I can't believe that white haired dude, who use toads and have chakra similar to someone from Konoha is related somehow to Jiraiya?? [surprised Pikachu face]

But can you imagine how they will do this in anime? Like anime stuff at this point is obligated to use Jiraiya VA to voice Kashin Koji... xD

I personally have theory that Delta is clone (or something) of Amado daughter. I mean, there must be a reason why he joined Isshiki organization.

Like I'm saying this for a long time, I just think that Ikemoto Mikio and Kodachi Ukyou aren't confident/comfortable when they are doing fights (especially on Naruto & Sasuke level) but they shine during (how to put it...) slice of life parts and characters.

I can imagine that Naruto will do something stupid like try to save Kashin Koji (especially if he learn the truth) making that Kawaki somehow will get back again karma.
but at least there is now ~80% chance that KK will survive this fight.
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.123/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.230/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.140/? - weekly) | MAD (Ch.33/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.100/? - biweekly)
- Monochrome Days (Ch.27/? - biweekly)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

I thought that the Delta was great and the Jigen fight was pretty solid too. But I do agree that this series has strength's outside of it's combat. The world buidling, character interactions, and development are the best parts.

Also I can imagine Naruto pulling something like that and leading to worse consequences. It's like Sasuke said, "He's still a dunce"

ok I should clarify, by Delta / Jigen vs Naruto (& Sasuke) I had in mind that they made Naruto and Sasuke quite kinda weak comparing to Momoshiki fight.
I'm still salty by the fact that Naruto could save Neji and Kawaki's hand.

Oh, then I can understand that. Definitely had to nerf the characters of the last series a bit so that the "new generation can surpass the old" as Kakashi would say. It is kinda weird though since everyone is a fully grown adult now and should be way stronger than they were as teenagers. But it doesn't bug me too much personally (as I assume they aren't training as hard as before aka the Gohan phenomenon)

btw I agree with your theory on Delta

I am happy he is a clone of Jiraiya and not the actual Jiraiya. Cause pulling off how he survived, would have been a total ass pull.

It's things like seeing Jiraiya suddenly is where you notice how inferior this manga looks. He doesn't look anything like Jiraiya at all.

Another good chapter with good explanation.

Good to see the predictions that Koji was related somehow to Jiraiya was true, I just wonder how he cloned him since not even Kabuto was able to recover any DNA from Jiraiya after his fight with Pain.

I'm relieved that he didn't turn out to be Jiraiya himself and only a clone.

Confused about Isshiki's special ability. Amado said he can't shrink other living beings. Then how did he shrink Naruto inside that pot? If he was only shrinking the pot, shouldn't Naruto remain normal-sized and possibly breaking the pot? Or am I missing something. Help! lol

We saw a young Jiraiya before. The art style for this Boruto manga just does not match the Naruto manga well at all.

That Dragon Ball Super manga has art that resembles the original manga so the characters all look like the characters.

They don't in Boruto.

Why do I have this feeling that Kaguya will have a comeback and this time she's going to work against Isshiki?

Kashin Koji being related to Jiraiya is probably the late and most underwhelming revelation I've witnessed from the Naruto+Boruto series. Speculations were he was Jiraiya's son, Jiraiya himself, or a clone and technically all those 3 are all correct in their own ways lmao.

I have been thinking about this. What if Kaguya was just misunderstood by her two sons? Instead of listening to her reasons, they decided to stop their mother's project which led to her getting upset and resort to forceful measures.
Imagining Kaguya side with the protagonists feels a bit weird to me, but I'd love to see it.

The new authors have a golden ticket to explain this important plot point since it wasn't yet explored by the original author in Naruto.
I just realized that all of my favorite characters, beside being stunningly beautiful, also happen to be exceptionally skilled murder machines. \('-')/

A reveal that is as unsurprising as the Tobi = Obito plot "twist." I'm just glad that Jiraiya is still actually dead and Kashin Koji is just a clone, rather than his death being retconned to have him work with the enemy....like Ao (speaking of which, wouldn't they have been able to clone Ao, like they did here with Jiraiya, rather than making it so that he survived a BEAST BOMB FROM THE FUCKING TEN TAILS?!?!).

I have to admit, the manga has been getting much better as of late with these recent developments and I really wish the anime was adapting this material rather than whatever it's doing atm :/

People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Take me back to the days before MAL became infested with Twitter's favorite buzzwords.

Damn I knew that Kashin Koji is gonna have something to do with Jiraiya... but a clone.. didn't expected that to come out.
So now the question is, Will Kashin Koji or Jiraiya or Jiraiya's clone(whatever) be killed by Ishikki cuz that dude looks like a bad news to me.

This is bad. The back and forth between Amado explaining and Isshiki fighting was a very direction for a paneled story layout.

Why were people saying that they were glad that Kashin was revealed to be a clone of Jiraiya rather than the real one here when it was obvious for like the past two chapters? It had already been stated that Kashin had been "created" by Amado, so obviously he couldn't have been the real Jiraiya...
