After watching 6 top 200 animes consecutively I do not feel like watching high rated animes. What should I do?

I usually watch 8+, so around top 600.

But really just watch what seems interesting to you. Also watch airing anime.

Watch anime with a score below 7 then. Surely there are anime that you may enjoy.

Atm i only read manga, and there are barely any low rated manga, so I pretty much only read highly rated ones.

I agree for the most part however I will try and pick up some shows that I mightnt of given a second look too normally, which can be a nice change from my usual habits

It's a self-answering question. You go and pick up something that is "scored" under 7 and give it a spin. Then you decide for yourself whether you want to continue watching six of those type of anime consecutively.

After watching Kemono Friends 2 and Kemurikusa from this season I don't care about scores at all. I don't know why in the past I avoided most <7 shows but if there's something that grabbed your interest just watch it

1. AOT s3
2. Mushishi
3. Bunny Girl Senpai
4. Mononoke
5. NGNL Zero
6. Owarimonogatari 2nd Season

I cant pull myself to watch Cowboy beppop, Rainbow, Nichijou and I dont watch anime series with more than 26 episodes or R+.

A couple of ones that are low rated I liked so I definitely plan on watching more. I find that some of the low rated ones are misunderstood or are a specific niche that appeals to me.

There aren't many high rated ones left for me that interest me except the newest hype seasonals. So it's less a question of feeling like it and more about not having much of a choice. If I want to watch a non-seasonal, it's probably gonna have to be something with a low-ish score.
I probably regret this post by now.

Hm, I don't really look at rates, if something seems interesting it goes to my plan to watch and I will watch it eventually, even if it has a low rate XD

I only watched low rate shows that people recommend honestly. There are so many shows I don't know what to pick normally.

Btw, why don't you watch Shield Hero? It's similar to Re:Zero I think.

I feel that you´re missing a lot of good animes that are masterpiece or close, inthe 7 rating (those shows only have 7 rating cause art style or other aspects ). So I recommend you Devilman: Cry baby, and Ping Pong the animation

Ideally I would rather avoid low-rated anime, but considering that there are window-lickers out there who gave scores less than 10 to Fantastic Children and Now and Then Here and There means that the scores don't matter.

This glorious signature image was created by @Mayumi!

I am the Arbiter of Absolute Truth, and here is my wisdom:

"Anime was always influenced by the West. This is not news.
Shoujo is the superior genre primarily aimed at young people.
Harem/isekai are lazy genres that refuse any meaningful innovation.
There is no 'Golden Age.' There will always be top-shelf anime.
You should be watching Carole & Tuesday."

I'm more likely to watch anime with high amount of members.
When you realize that the anime scores are made by mal users
and mal users have bad taste
so you stop care about rated
the amout of members never lies to you, the score does.

Well my PTW is filled with low rated anime that I'm gonna watch. So I frequently watch low rated anime to get some variety. Most of them turn out to be pretty good.

There are some really good anime out there that aren't rated too high. If it has less than 30k members than anything rated over 6.3 is usually fine. It depends on your taste, though. Anime rated under 5.6 are pretty much always terrible and only enjoyable ironically. Two of my favourites are rated around 7.5 which isn't super high, although MAL's average is actually 6.8 which is always something to consider. If it's in the top 300 most popular and rated below 6.8 don't expect it to be good.

I prefer not to watch a lot of terrible anime because of what people say about it. Although I may plan to watch a few bad anime just to entertain myself.
Whenever I watch low rated series (like something 7 and under), I kinda get picky about it. And for the most part, it does.

Many times I find the lower rated shows to be more enjoyable than many of the highly rated and regarded shows. Popular opinion is mostly garbage when it comes to indicating quality.

MAL Scores have absolutely nothing to do with how I choose anime in the first place. I read plot descriptions and watch trailers, you should do that.

People watch things based on score? Just watch things based on whether they sound interesting or not.

I will watch. Literally. Anything.

Sometimes I even do it via putting my plan to watch list in a randomizer and see what pops up. I firmly believe every single show that is bad has at least one thing good about it, furthermore the scores on MAL do not inherently beget quality. I can name plenty of shows that had a low score but I liked them anyway.

Art and rating it based off something as streamlined as numbers is like water and oil, it's all up to how you perceive the work. Don't let that control what you watch.

People like different things, so there is no anime which scores reaches 10 and 1. Instead of scores, read the most positive and the most negative from the most helpful reviews. It is a spoiler risk, but it usually those 2 reviews uncover the strong and the weak points which allows you to decide whether YOU will enjoy the anime. There are good animes with total rating 6-7 and with reviews 8+.

I don't usually use rating to determine what anime I watch... But, for you, I guess you should just pick out some anime that sound interesting. If the score is lower than 6 or 7, just watch it.

I sometimes watch low rated anime to turn off my brain and just chill. Surprisingly 7+ rated anime aren't too bad. Many of them are even better than mainstream overrated anime.

if they're really low rated, some of them must be so bad they're good
