Quite a large amount of negative input towards this entry. I will still decide to remain hopeful and wait for the series to get all judgemental. As I am not now, you can very much tell by me going out of my way that I adore Ghost in the Shell.

I think its better to reserve judgement. Obviously it'd be great if this was a return to the older 2D anime aesthetic, but that show was so expensive to produce it broadcasted on premium television.

Granted 3D animation technology is more expensive apparently but hopefully this studio's up for the challenge considering they have experience with other projects.

Also, many people are overlooking the fact that the original SAC director Kenji Kamiyama is returning for this and it is being co directed by the original creator of freaking MEGAZONE 23! If the Matrix ripped off the aesthetic of Ghost in the Shell, it ripped the entire PLOT from Megazone and so I think that the pairing of these two creators should be very promising.

So, cautiously optimistic. Seriously hoping not to get my hopes up for nothing.

It does not really matter which animation style they decided to use. I am expecting the series to stay true to its originals and shift the paradigm a little, showing new sides to the usual moral and philosophical questions. I do not believe it is possible to return to the 2D-time glody, but if the people in charge are the same I am positive they will provide a decent continuation. Now more than ever such series should shine upon humanity.

Don't know about that, I have liked 50% of what Netflix financed, and by saying I liked it I mean the series were decent (A.I.C.O. , B:The Beginning). Besides the paradigm is shifting and every series will have to undergo r/evolution when entering modern age of art. Hey at least they are still employing Russians, which never once backfired on KK.

Series so far haven't disappointed yet, but for fucks sake, this new Netflix poster looks like shit.
And if cast will not return it'll be hude downgrade from the fucking beginning.

well at least the 3DCG is full 24 FPS and not the usual low framerate 3DCG of anime those 8-12 FPS lol

but this looks like rendered in a video game engine lol
