Not totally unexpected but still really interesting, things seem to turn up to have 3 factions going about Tereza right now.
Wonder who will make the next move..

Holy shit that backstory was fantastic, and sad at the same time! Really great episode and what an ending! Really impressive cliffhanger and loving that soft yet sad ED song!

Interesting to see Kesler's backstory. Mind you, his actions in the latter third of 2199 do not really reconcile with this flashback. He was willing to let all his people die and bugger off in that big planetoid of his. Didn't seem to care about the fates of the average Gamillan too much.

Ok...wait, if that was Desler's intention in the first series, some of his actions just don't add up in 2199, especially coming down to the end of the series.

Are they just making shit up as they go along? The story quality of 2202 is just not up to 2199 standards.

Well, suspicions regarding Desler's goals and his relationship with "Keyman" confirmed. Although I appreciate the backstory, I think it's not entirely consistent with 2199. Wasn't it implied (or even directly said) in 2199 that Desler had been ruling for ~100 years, implying differences between the aging process of Gamilas and Earthlings? Or do I remember it incorrectly and it was about Desler family? Anyway, I'm not too inclined to search now, it's not *critical* (either a silly mistake or something entirely consistent)

I also think that the fight between Desler's robots and the Yamato crew could've been more realistic...probably. I'm picking here but they were kind of in a bad situation without even their weapons drawn on-screen for the most time. Eh, whatever. I hope Desler will expand upon "dying once". What the hell happened to him 3 years ago? To Keyman too. What was his agenda during the previous episodes? Was he aware of Desler being alive (I guess he was)?

P.S. new ED is beautiful

Did they just retcon Dessler's age? Wasn't his reign 100+ years in 2199?

Nice, they fixed a little the Dessler of the first season. In the original series he was a total badass, but in the remake the make it look like a simp. It's cool to see that they give him his original backstory and motivations
