that was pretty intense. The atmosphere got to me. Rin was <3 in that outfit. And lol at the two guys in the background when Kuro said virgin.

Damn... I can't believe how much of a nut Reiji is, to bring up the abortion right in front of her and started using as a tool to gloat. I'm just hoping he doesn't degrade any further and tries to rape Kokonoe in the future (>_<)

Epic custody battle. To say I'm proud of how far this series has come in its emotional impact would be an understatement -- the chapter hit all the right notes and did an excellent job for 30 pages worth.

Was kind of surprised when I saw the chapter was out already. I too hope Reiji doesn't degrade further or something, but I can't help but think maybe I'm hoping for too much. Just kind of wish there was something like backstory or anything that could make Aoki more interesting; unless it's just me but has always felt like something is missing there.

That chapter was pretty intense. But something from chapters 33 and 34 that still didn't get fully addressed is where did the marks on Rin's neck come from? They didn't ever prove that it was Reiji abusing her, and Rin herself denied it, but I'm still curious to see exactly what's up with that.

Also, yes, lol @ WcDonalds.

EDIT: Ok, so it was covered, (end of chapter 31...). It was Reiji. Creepy =/
Anyway, this really is an exciting manga, I wish people didn't write it off just because of the age of the characters. Yeah, it's loli, but there's an actual story to it, and it's pretty deep. If you read into it it's supposed to bring up these societal issues of love and sex and youth and it's kinda supposed to make the average reader feel uncomfortable in a way, I think.

It's a far cry from just perverted loli smut.

Rightfully said. :)

Poor Rin, though... in addition to her mother dead, she now blames herself for that and her parents breaking up... it broke my heart to see her say "I'm so sorry." over and over again. :< Her father was right about her strong will, though.

I wonder what exactly Aoki-sensei meant when he said "Me, too," to Rin's "I love you?"

It's definitely a fatherly type love, try not to read into it too much.

Am I the only one who noticed that Rin sort of 'faded' when she was crying sorry ?
Do you think it means anything ? :X

Great chapter! Good on so many levels ans really portrayed a battle for the rights of custody. But I disliked the way Reiji degraded Rin by mentioning the abortion (now Rin's life is gonna be more of a struggle, and she may think that it was all her fault). Good for Aoki to consider what Rin's thinks and gave her a chance to speak for herself.

@Roxanne If I had to guess I think it's trying to show how she feels like it would be better if she didn't exist. A kind of despair that leaves you distant to reality.

And yes, I will reply to a comment that's a decade in a half old.
