This is going to sound a little cliched, but Grave of the Fireflies had me sobbing like a child.

Grave of the Fireflies made me BAWL. Especially because it's so realistic and stuff like that actually happened during wars.

Anohana also made me cry like a little baby at the end.

Attack on Titan actually made me cry a bunch of times just because I couldn't even imagine living in the world they do and how horrible it would be to constantly lose people you are close to all the time.

On that note, I see a lot of people saying Your Lie in April and Angel Beats. I'm really surprised at myself cause I really didn't cry at all when watching those? I'm pretty emotional to begin with, but I think the predictability in Your Lie In April ruined it for me. I already knew what was going to happen. It was a good story, but I didn't bawl like people said I was going to at the end. And Angel Beats I only teared up at the Yui and Hinata bit.

I guess Angel Beats!, it's one of the first shows I watched. I wasn't used to that genre of anime back then, so it made me tear up a little.

A Place Further Than The Universe did make me shed a tear or two. Steins Gate was sad but didn't tug at my heart strings like A Place... did. Kimi No Na Wa also, that last scene where they finally met was so climatic and emotional you would have to be brain dead not to cry. Anyone claim they didn't cry at this scene?

Violet Evergarden

Not because of story of Violet

Probably Anohana. I don't really cry much while watching anime.

Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost."

If you didn't cry while watching Clannad After Story, I'm sorry to tell you this but you're not human.

Clannad

Some other things made me feel melancholic, ambivalent or just straight-up sad though.

The latter half of Evangelion, especially EoE, break me.

Land of the Lustrous is a real rollercoaster too (Season 2 when?)

As far as movies go, Grave of the Butteflies and A Silent Voice.

Just recently, Assassination Classroom. Episode 24 of the 2nd season, for me, will always be legendary. And before i even noticed, i've started crying and didn't stop for like 15 mins.

And others, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, Clannad AS, Violet Evergarden, Maquia (a little bit, still really touching), Bakuman (shed some tears several times, but tears of joy), A Place Further Than the Universe, ef: A Tale of Memories/Melodies

Never cried whilst watching anime, but the closest thing is when I teared up a bit during the last episode of plastic memories. I think manga is better at making me more emotionally invested. Cried twice while reading ReLife and recently reading the last chapters of Slam Dunk
