| What's your favorite genre mix and which anime do u think did it the best? My favorite mix is Action, Adventure, Romance, Fantasy and I think the best one I've seen with this mix is Re: Zero. Not saying that Re:Zero is my favorite anime of all time. Just that it's got everything I want in an anime. |

| Well, there's always the tried and true harem & ecchi. Lots of sexualized females being presented in romantic fashions with enough flexibility to have an entirely separate base beneath it. It's a really complimentary combo and there's a reason that they not only took off together like they did but also get viewed hand in hand so often. H&E in terms of anime is kind of an Austro-Hungarian Empire style of mish-mash, with a ton of substuff even beneath the titular two, but I think it actually works pretty well. I kind of found that I had a soft-spot for horror and school, kind of in the vein like Another or Tasogare. I remember getting into anime because of stuff like that and I do actually like the Corpse Party game even if the OVA was kind of dogshit. Stuff like that tends to work really well for me. I was into those sorts of "horror" RPG maker games before I was into anime, even, that was one of the major catalysts for me looking into it to begin with. Hmmm, outside of that I actually can't think of any genre combos I've outright grown to prefer tho. Lots of stuff can work together. |
