| Depends on what you mean by "episodes where nothing happens." There's a lot of action in pretty much every episode, but many of the episodes contribute little or nothing to the overarching plot. |

| JoJo is a strange show, but probably one of the best shonen battle shows out there and definately one of the funniest. It is over 100 episodes at this point, but it's really 4 different shows with each being loosely connected to the others. The parts are Phantom Blood (episodes 1-9), Battle Tendency (10-26), Stardust Crusaders, and Diamond is Unbreakable. There is a significant time gap between each part and each one is a mostly self contained story with its own protagonist. Some people might say otherwise, but I think starting with Stardust Crusaders or Diamond is Unbreakable by itself to test the waters is fine. |

| Watch at least the first two parts and decide for yourself. But imo it's definitely worth it--one of my favorites for sure. (Plus you'll finally be able to understand all the memes) |

| Jojo is a rollercoaster ride, you sit on the seat of one, you won't noticed that you were done and you will find yourself wanting more. There is nothing like Jojo, haven't seen it adapted well in other medium. Able to switch in between genres, able to tell a coming-of-age story in an action packed adventure, able to give off development in harsh environments and giving a cripple teenager a personality that isn't edgy and self-deprecating, but a more humorous and sarcastic fellow, who knows how to make a subtle joke leaving me to be confused as it's so indistinct. |

| You shouldn't be bored if you are a fan of action. Action packed episodes from beginning to end just about every single episode. If it isn't action packed, then usually, comedy is involved and it's executed well. |

| Moved from Anime Discussion Watch an episode or 3. See if you like it or not. Go from there. It's a certain style of hammy absurdist action that may or may not strike your fancy, so it's hard to tell if you'll like it through immediate gauging. |
| If you're into wacky, hilarious and off-the-wall series, then yeah, go for it. Each part offers a new experience, with an entirely new cast, setting, plot etc. so the show never gets tiresome and repetetive, unlike alot of other battle shonen. Just be wary that there's a whole lot of plotholes and continuity errors, so you'll need to suspend your disbelief quite a bit. |

| Nothing happening as nothing furthering the progression of the story? THis is the case for most episodes ! The story is only the canvas to paint a series of fights while exploiting a maximal number of B/Z movies and other nice things like that. At least, that's the case for the initial saga (parts 1-3). Don't go in for a possible story. Try it because you have a certain love for victorian fantasy novels, 80s US horror movies, 70s HK kung-fu movies and their contemporary adventure movies and other oldies like that. It's a cheerful mix of probably most things the author liked back in those days, powdered by large amounts of ridiculousness. |

| Okay, I watched the first three episodes and that is as much as I can stomach. Dropped. Normally I do understand why I a show is highly regarded but in this case? Dear lord this show is utter shite! The main characters are infuriating, narcissistic machos of the worst kind. The only female character is a spineless wimp and the main character is an idiot. The less is said about Dio the better and while some people love throw-back animation - I don't. It's crap. Death Note and Bleach it ain't. |
| yes but with a small condition. The first 9 eps of jojo make up part 1 which is kinda awful. Like the quality spikes from a 4 to a 10 once the 10th episode starts. So to save yourself some time I would recommend either skipping the whole part and just reading a plot synopsis or watching episodes 1-4 and 9 which is where basically all the important plot details are. |
